More of the same, yet not as good as its predecessor. It's got some cringeworthy moments, but there's some funny bits to be had. All mashed up with the typical mushy sentiment by the end. Pretty much what you'd expect from a movie like this.
If you seen the first one, you have got to see this. Absolutely hilarious. funny
Favorite quotes from the movie:
"…I'm drunk and horny… I repeat: I'm drunk and horny…" (in a mall speaker)
"…its like waxing the balls of Dalai Lama…"
I feel like I need a Bad Grandmas after this
"Mom's don't enjoy, they give joy. That's how being a mom works."
This is surprisingly funny. As much as the holidays can be fun, family time can sometimes be stressful and this movie was able to convey that plus craziness at the same time while making me laugh. Kathryn Hahn is the MVP for sure!
Can we get a bad grandmas movie next? The scenes at the church were hilarious!!
Mila Kunis is good but Kathryn Hahn is the best character. Her and Justin Hartley need their own spin off movie.
THE WACPINE OF ‘A BAD MOMS CHRISTMAS’
WRITING: 3
ATMOSPHERE: 5
CHARACTERS: 8
PRODUCTION: 6
INTRIGUE: 3
NOVELTY: 2
ENJOYMENT: 4
The Good:
Katherine Hahn remains enjoyable to watch, but she's nothing compared to Susan Sarandon, who is equally enjoyable as her mother.
The mothers' mothers are just as hopeless as the younger generation, but also bring some much-needed maturity to the story.
The show-stealer is Amy's mom in a stereotypically horrible, but enjoyably over the top performance.
After dealing with their live lives and children in the first film, the moms next have to deal with their mothers, which makes for a slightly more enjoyable plot when mixed with the Christmas setting.
Oddly enough, there is a warmth present here that was. Al king from the first film. That translates well into the relationships between the central characters. That also helps some funny moments stand out better than previously.
The ending is sweet and beautiful, just the way you want to from these kinds of films.
The Bad:
The sequel we never wanted or needed does nothing to develop the characters from the last film and doesn't improve the quality of its comedy or acting.
Somehow, the film is even more childish this time around. The jokes are even worse and the atmosphere is awkward. There are no life lessons to tell this time around.
As a comedy, this one is dull and as a Christmas film, this one is definitely among the worst. It never feels funny enough to work as a comedy and not Christmassy enough to be considered a holiday classic.
The Ugly:
I guess they put the 'ass' back in 'Christmas'
WACPINE RATING: 4.43 / 10 = 2 stars
Bad Moms 2: Twice as Bad: Shite writing killed this blight before Christmas and it's a shame to see Mila Kunis waste her talent on this disposable money grab. Like herpes, this is one gift you can't return.
What an abomination of a movie. I knew that this movie got terrible reviews but I thought I would give it a look because of the stellar cast. The reviews didn't do it justice.

Took a while to really get going but ended up being as good as Bad Moms. It would be nice to have a 3ed film in the series following on from the final scene
Not as funny and so overly sentimental. A limp sequel.
'A Bad Moms Christmas' is basically 'Daddy's Home 2' - which, interestingly, was released less than a week after this. Mila Kunis (Amy) in the lead role isn't as strong, nor are Kristen Bell (Kiki) and Kathryn Hahn (Carla) unfortunately. They have a few bits, but not enough. Christine Baranski, Cheryl Hines and Susan Sarandon are meh newcomers.
The ending particularly dragged, with it going full on preach mode and is far too cutesy. It'd be fine if it also wasn't so predictable. I noted the music in 'Bad Moms' as being good, but even that drops a level in this follow-up film.
It could've been worse, I guess, but I just didn't find entertainment with this.
The cover tells you to expect jokes from the first recycled. The moms got drunk and acted up at a super market in the first film. This time they get drunk at the mall and act up.
Unbearable parents showing up on Christmas is pretty cliche at this point. It has probably even been cliche at the time when National Lampoons Christmas Vacation was released.
Yet Daddy’s Home 2 also only exists to introduce us to the parents of the main characters. Bad Moms Christmas even goes for laughs by having cute kids say fuck multiple times.
Nothing feels fresh at all. You get the rich snob mom, the alcoholic slutty mom and the mom with no boundaries.
Still a great watch, this one. Christine Baranski at her finest.
It has some funny moments, but overall is a forgettable movie. The first one was much better.
If you are looking for a Christmas theme movie, this one will do just fine.
Of course i'm watching a Christmas movie in June !! Ok totally average, it is exactly what you expect, some nice lines here and there.
Hahn and Hartley totally stole the movie with their chemistry and lines.
Mila Kunis, Kristen Bell, and Kathryn Hahn wreck shop in the raunchy holiday comedy A Bad Moms Christmas. When Amy’s mother comes to visit, her plans for a small intimate family Christmas are upended; meanwhile Amy’s two best friends are having mom problems of their own. Kunis and Bell are comedy gold, but Hahn’s bawdy shtick doesn’t work. The tone is all over the place, literally changing from scene to scene. And the holiday problems that the moms face are over exaggerated and aren’t as relatable as the one’s in the first film. A Bad Moms Christmas has its moments, but overall it’s a slapdash sequel that doesn’t quite come together.
It's weak as a comedy, but it could be watchable in a crowd of the the "christmas" theme movies… I've seen worse.
What better time to watch a festive comedy than July! Sadly, this isn't as consistently funny as the first Bad Moms, but it's still enjoyable, despite the Christmas sentimentality.
Bad Santa 2 + Bad Moms 2 = ppphhhffrrrrttt ahhhhhhhhhh better
Kathryn Hahn is the best character ever
ok going to see the movie all I knew is that I loved the first one and was hoping for no different with the second one and did I ever get my wish I laughed out loud numerous times had a wonderful time celebrating Christmas with the moms and grandmoms totally s Christmas treat for adult audiences only but it's a good one non the less
Next to be watched on Trakt.

Raunchy. Crude. But funny. And surprisingly good scene with Peter Gallagher. 7/10
