Critics some how said the movie doesn’t do Goofy justice. He is perfect for this story of an embarrassing dad trying to bond with his uptight teenage son named Max.
It takes itself a tad too seriously in parts, but 'A Goofy Movie' is certainly a good film.
I have very little knowledge of the 'Goof Troop' show, and the Disney cartoon characters as a whole to be honest, but I found a fun enough time with this. The voice cast are largely forgettable, though the premise kept my attention span throughout.
It's amusing and has heart, despite the aforementioned, which makes you give the required amount of care for Goofy and Max. The animation is well done, also. Interested to see where the sequel goes.
What a classic! While I am personally a bigger fan of the sequel, it was a great time revisiting this one! I can’t wait to watch this one again with my kid!

This is a really underrates Disney movie. I watched this as a kid multiple times on VHS. Since then I completely forgot about it somehow. Now I recently rediscovered it on Disney+ and it was so much fun seeing it again. All the memories came back immediately. The story is really heartwarming, the animation is amazing and the music is fun as well.
Honestly, the songs are pretty forgettable and the last act has a major case of "rest of the f**king owl" as far as getting from the waterfall to LA, but the story has heart even if its script is rather abbreviated.
If you watched this as a kid in the 90s and resonated with Max... watch it again. It hits different.
literally a goofy movie lmao
funny and underrated animation

God, so much memories in one film. I 've must seen this one over 50 times in VHS, when I was kid. I can't be objective with that movie.
