This film is such a delight.
Honestly, the idea and the proposal is very interesting, but the script is so disconnected from reality and the direction is so boring that I need to take a break to watch 5 minutes of this movie, it's a torture of goodness.
Clearly, I'm not the intended audience of this film. That said, Granddad (Wilfrid Brambell) was my favorite character in the entire movie. Watch this for him if for nothing else.
I watched this movie with my movie crew. It didn't connect with them either. One of the crew suggested that the problem might have been that we were sober during our watching session. None of us liked the movie enough to test that theory with a rewatch.

If you’ve encountered the Beatles in interviews, at different stages of their career, you’ll know very well how cheeky, clever and witty they were. It’s in this classic comedy that they are no different. They seem to be improvising a simple script throughout the entire film. But much to our entertainment however, as we are treated to the full album set list of a hard days night, and the four Beatles whipping up a frenzy wherever they appear. This makes for a good snapshot of Beatlemania, the one of a kind phenomenon we haven’t seen again.
