Am I Racist? 2024

I was expecting another “What is a woman?” But what I got was something much funnier. I laughed from beginning to end. Great movie.

Equal parts hilarious and disturbing. The grift is real. When you profit from racism and the demand outstrips the supply, the lengths you'll go to in order to invent racism to keep the money flowing is extreme.

The dumbest mockumentary you will see this year.

I went in knowing nothing, and walked out with a modern day Borat. There were so many parts that were absolutely hysterical, just poking humor in the lows that society has stooped too. Excited to watch this one again.

Matt Walsh demonstrates his bias and nothing of substance.

there's something wrong with Trakt's trending algorithym when something this terrible trends on the front page for days and the movie doesn't even make a blip on Tmdb or Imdb.

Very funny and entertaining movie

Immature, ignorant, and unintelligent. This describes both the movie and the person who made it.

loading replies

This movie consists entirely of hyperbolic tropes from both sides of politics.

if there is a takeaway to be found in this juvenile mockumentary it is that too many people are willing to exploit race and politics for money, including Matt.

I don't find Matt Walsh funny at all, nor can I say that I liked this movie, but some of the people in this are eye-openingly batshit insane.

What a dumb prick. Borat did it much better already. Seriously this fucking douche bag uses his own voice as a narrating voice and film his own fucking face while narrating. what a fucking dumbass.

This guy is a complete tool. Instead of moving the conversation forward he chooses to be a troll and sabotages every interview.

loading replies

Fuck Matt Walsh. He's just an asshole pretending to be funny. Nothing about him is likable.

loading replies

god what a dumb cunt this guy is. as if finding unstable people to argue against makes your ideological base any less stupid.

loading replies

He really is kind of a jerk.

I love this guy bc it melts the liberals down.

Hilarious. Another hit from Matt Walsh. As of October 19, 2024, "Am I Racist" has grossed $12.3 million. It is the highest-grossing documentary film of 2024.

DEI started as a call for equal opportunity. Today's version of DEI seems to be rooted on white supremacy, when you think about it. Certified DEI "experts" never talk about the achievements of other cultures. They always harp on how all of us "non-whites" are victims and losers who were made to be victims and losers by "the white people" who have had a so-called "advantage" over the rest of us. According to these certified experts, telling this to white people and getting them to let the rest of us win the race for once will make everything better. What utter garbage. You have to be mentally ill to believe some of this nonsense.

We must always fight for equal opportunities. In most civilised countries, equal opportunities are guaranteed by law. I, for one, will never ask for equality of outcome, which is what the DEI has regressed into.

I was sceptical about how comedic this would be going in, but I was cracking up within the first five minutes. It's full of entertaining little skits and some insane viewpoints spread by those running $10k workshops.

The grifters he documents are so crazy they practically parody themselves and the film ends strongly cementing the point that racial divisions are driven primarily by media narratives while the majority of regular people are living their lives and accepting of people based on character not colour.

It never feels like it comes across too pushy in my opinion. It's intentionally designed to make you think, but it's not super in your face instructing you what to think - rather it encourages you to consider what it puts forward.

A must watch for anyone interested in waking up.

It was ok. I hate racism. I grew up in a racist household. Never understood it then, probably never will. You want to fix racism? Just stop talking about it.

It's a triggering title. It actually rhymes with "trigger"

Some parts were funny, while others presented valid points; however, everything felt pretty staged.

At first, I thought the documentary would follow the same flimsy path as "What Is a Woman?" until it reached the scene:
where they schemed for Robin DiAngelo to donate a portion of her interview fee to Ben, the Black producer. LOL.

That was genius—I'll give them that!

I also cracked up at Uncle Frank's bit towards the end of the workshop: "It's not funny to mock marginalized people!"

In summary, the documentary presents a conservative narrative that both polarizes and profits from racial issues, much like how the progressives are portrayed in it. This raises questions about the motivations behind such narratives and their impact on public discourse that often overshadows the main problem.

Ultimately, both sides find ways to profit from serious issues: one side exaggerates problems, while the other acts as if there are none at all. I think this dynamic reflects a troubling trend in our discourse, where sensationalism often overshadows meaningful dialogue.

The self-help industry and also DSM5 professional help are the same nonsense.

It might be a decent watch for people who don’t know any better, but most people by now get it, playing the victim in any form just makes you pathetic and spreads that mindset to others.

As someone from Europe, I don't think I grasp 50% of what's happening there... but I have to say that in-between the cringe I did laugh my ass up a few times. This seems unreal... I kinda knew Matt Walsh background, so I'm not surprised by the overall message which I'm not confortable with, but I have to give it to him for the way he exposes some fanatical tendencies.

I hope this doesn't reflect on the overall fight against racism, I'm pretty sure it doesn't but if the goal is to sparkle doubt, he did a good job. Owning people like DiAngelo as he did was hilarious and it's not a good look.

Please people tell me that this was as far as mainstream as I hope it is...
