Bachelorette is yet another failed Hangover wannabe that doesn’t have enough charm or charisma to pull off a raunch comedy. The story follows a former high school clique that gets back together when one of them gets engaged. The film stars Kirsten Dunst, Lizzy Caplan, Isla Fisher, and Adam Scott, who all give pretty good performances. Most of the comedy’s hit and miss, but there’s some clever satire and insightful commentary on post high school friendships and midlife struggles. A slapdash comedy, Bachelorette is unfocused and callous, but it’s able to deliver some laughs.
The setup is there: we have a bunch of good, young actors set to meet up for a wedding. Ok, the wedding theme has been beaten to pieces but a good script can get around that. The first two thirds of the movie try to reflect the movie's aspirations of being both a drama and a comedy. Unfortunately it fails miserably at both. We follow the characters around the city as if we are flies on the proverbial wall. They are mostly awful people and they experience some very predictable wedding-themed events. The last third of the movie is dominated by Kirsten Dunst (again, terribly wasted in this schlock) screaming at people. It felt like work just to watch it.

The Good:
The Bad:
Bachelorette > Bridesmaids. Great, super underrated film.
Watched the movie because of Rebel Wilson but she wasn't even in most of the scenes. Gave the movie a 5 because I stopped watching halfway through.
I always like seeing Lcu Caplan, but this movie could've been better.
What a catastrophe!!!! lmao!!! It a reflective movie and I am glad the bride said what she said. Crazy selfish characters
Rebel Wilson and Kristen Dunst save this movie.
Rebal Wilson makes this movie great, that's the only thing.
Rebel Wilson is not funy in this movie.
seriously that blowjob conversation on the plane was one of the worst movie scenes i saw in my entire life. in that moment i knew how bad it´s was going to be.
I first saw the trailer to the movie and decided to go for it. The storyline seemed to be pretty simple judging by the trailer only.
At the beginning of the movie, the characters were being introduced, so it was easy to follow the plot. The cast was made up of great actors and my expectations of these were clearly met.
The first couple of minutes, I thought that the movie was another one of these stereotypical chick flicks: There was the fat protagonist, there was the ambitious, rather neurotic and bitchy woman, there was the promiscuous woman mad at the world, and there was the stereotypically "dumb" and shallow one. It seemed to be predictable that some characters were meant to be "the bad ones" and others would be the "good ones". I was surprised by the outcome of the movie. It showed that everyone has their good and bad sides and that everyone is struggling, despite of how we look or act. If you just want to watch an amusing enough film and switch off your brain, that is okay. However, the movie has a lot to offer and delivers a great message. I definitely don't regret having watched it and I'd rate it a 7/10.
It could have been better. I've expected a lot more from Sundance movie.

This movie is dumb, boring and one of the worst experiences I've ever made.
