The Justice League Universe, more commonly known by its unofficial name as the DC Extended Universe (DCEU), is an American media franchise and shared universe, centered on a series of superhero films distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures, based on characters that appear in publications by DC Comics. The first film in the DCEU was Man of Steel (2013), which was followed by Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016), Suicide Squad (2016), and Wonder Woman (2017). Future films include Justice League (2017), Aquaman (2018), Shazam! (2019), Wonder Woman 2 (2019), Cyborg (2020), and Green Lantern Corps (2020). Other projects are also in various stages of development, including Suicide Squad 2, Justice League Dark, Flashpoint, The Batman, Batgirl, a Justice League sequel, Gotham City Sirens, Nightwing, an untitled Joker and Harley Quinn film, a second Superman solo film, and untitled solo films for Black Adam, Deadshot, and Lobo.
