This is one of the new four straight-to-cable Beck films. Once clever and well-arranged - where Sjöwall/Wahlöö were still both alive and Bo Widerberg held the reigns - this is death. Actually, death in more ways than those that affect the script, the direction and the acting, as one of the main actors is severely affected by life in this film, a tale overtly told by the film poster. Personally, I suspect that none other than the affected actor himself looks forward to the afterlife. Additionally, this is the typical, muddled story of police life in 99.9f all Swedish crime movies: expect incredulous...well, everything, and not much more.
