Spoiler alert:
Ya like jazz?
Welp, its a movie from my childhood so I guess ill have to rate this.
9/10. Actually enjoyed it from my childhood POV
While there are a lot of pretty colors on display and a few laughs this is not as enjoyable as any of the Pixar or many of the other DreamWorks movies. Jerry Seinfeld is occasionally funny and the animation involved in bringing the world of bees to life is sometimes imaginative. The story itself plods along and any messages or moralities attempted to be passed along to the viewer are lost in the insignificant telling of the story.
Thank God real bees can't talk, because Barry was so damn annoying it made me hate all of his kind. And the sexual tension with the human woman was... something... that I don't want to think about ever again.
This is really the Sonic 06 of movies, can be fun, but very flawed, and with a human/animal relationship that gets weird at times.
average. wouldn't watch it a second time
it's just to awkward the "relationship" between the bee and the woman like how...
A nice little animated movie with a lighthearted message, especially with all the bees disappearing.
Bee movie
What in the Geneva convention was that helmet test lol???
Aye Barry knows his nectar collectors lol
Why didn’t the family in the car freak out when Barry screamed like a human lol
IS THAT THE RATATOUILLE GUY ON THE PAPER SHE USED TO CARRY BARRY OUTSIDE?????
AHHHHHHHHHHHH DO YOU LIKE JAZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ
Dave needs to call a Beeitarian lawyer or a Bee rights lawyer, he’s basically a pow for the Germans
THERE WAS A PLINKO GAME IN THE BACKGROUND???
Also if there is glass and windows everywhere in the hive why did Barry freak out and question what the window was??
Lolllllllll “Smack Smack” Chris Rock foreshadowed the smack smack
Barry wants the Bezi’s to go to sue the humans, he should hide Dave’s Bee rights lawyer
Why didn’t the BIA kill Barry before he could talk
This whole trial is a fever dream
Barry lives inside a tree in the very park he was was shocked to see the trees and flowers are dying from the roof top
Why did the lady’s voice/mic sound so different near the taxi(reshoots maybe lol), when they’re both talking in the taxi she sounds normal
Barry and the human just committed premeditated murder by making the girl fall 2 stories lol
Why did everyone know about Barry besides the 2 pilots lol
This entire movie is a fever dream lol
Jerry Seinfeld plays a litigious bumblebee, out to reclaim honey profits from the humans, in this animated entry from Dreamworks. It's odd that this was so deep into the studio's career (fifteenth in their catalog, just after Shrek the Third) because the CGI is terribly dated, a major handicap. It's often downright difficult to look at (particularly in scenes with human characters) and there's nothing in the plot to make up that slack. No stinger, no sizzle, no emotional hook and shockingly few laughs, considering Seinfeld is one of the co-writers. An early teaser trailer might have tread too close to home in ribbing "this is what he picks to follow the TV series?" Watery and hollow, it's a boring story that constantly stretches to cram in weird, vacuous bee and honey references. Like the segment with "Bee Larry King." That's literally the entire joke; a bee with big glasses, suspenders, hunched shoulders and a map of lights behind him. Is there another level to this that I'm just not getting? Pointless, helpless and pitiful, it was a struggle to finish.
Cute premise. Fantastic voice talent. Important take-home on the importance of bees, too bad the reality of the bees life was lost (I think they could have creatively captured some real facts). In terms of storytelling, it didn't capture me and, surprisingly, the comedy was sparse and low key. I give this a 6.5 (nothing exciting) out of 10. [Family Animation]
Okay, so. This movie was a favourite of mine when I was younger during its first release. I thought it was funny, clever and just all-around entertaining. But back then I was 9, and since then I hadn't watched it since I was at least 11. Now, after a decade of being out and the sudden meme burst from this film. I decided to rewatch it now that I'm older. Once I had seen it again, I could appreciate that this movie is a beautifully animated film, a bland animated film and a bad animated film. It somehow manages to keep me entertained like when I was a kid, but like anything you love when you were younger. I found myself cringing a lot during my time watching this. the bee puns are almost unbearable. The dialogue apart from the jokes is cheesy and just uninteresting.
The plot, however, is bland yet also very appealing towards the final act. Having a change of direction and pace that I knew it was coming. But never appreciated how well they did it. But, the first and second act along with the climax is just boring with nothing to hook an adult viewer.
The presentation of animation though is very good. Dreamworks really knows how to animate movement. The scene where they fly through the park for the first time is very gorgeous, and the way they frame scenes with the camera position and style, really makes the bees feel small. Which helps the plot a lot, giving the audience the perspective of the bees and not the humans. Restraining the audience member to side with the opposing side of their own species.
Bee Movie is not groundbreaking, it's not a must-see, it's not even a must-see for children. People may say it teaches morals of kindness and the correct way of treating others and animals. But there are plenty of other movies to help see these morals across to kids. Becuase no kid wants to see a half hour of lawyers and court cases. But, It's an ok movie to turn on and entertain your kids that will maybe turn them off honey.
I cant believe I had enough in my mind to write over 350 words on "the" Bee Movie.
What l really like about this film is that it shows every spectator what the world would become without Bees. They are the pillars of the existence of life on the ground.
There must be abother way to harvest the honey no ??
I remember when thus came out jerry was just a little too keen to promote it. It was just all over NBC and 30 Rock specifically. Maybe that's why I avoided it. But even if it sucked it's still jerry acting so there would good times ahead anyway. Turns out though the movie is great! And they deal with heady stuff for a kids movie. Like bee death and shit. Really great. Love it.
seen this film so many times as my 2 year old daughter watches it pretty much on repeat along with a couple of others!
Can honestly say that it does my head in, never liked this film... i gave it 7/10 since it does seem to appeal to 2 year olds...
Never liked this movie... And probably never will

I'm glad that this movie shows children how important bees are.
Humans need bees to survive. The bees declined with 40% last year which is a huge problem.
If the bees die many things will change for us.
Fruits and Vegetables Will Stop Growing, Dairy Products Would Disappear, Cotton Wouldn’t Grow, Food Costs Will Sky Rocket, Malnutrition Will Be a Huge Problem overall a Worldwide Economic Crash and a disaster for the whole human race.
It is wrong to steal all their honey! Bees often get killed right after they worked their asses off for us.
Or they barely have any food left for themselves.
And that's the sad story behind the bees. We should treat them way better than most humans do.
So next time you see a bee, Be thankful for everything it does in your life instead of killing it.
Because we really need all of them!
