This was a movie I was glad to know what it was about going in. Disturbing and at times horrific and infuriating, it immediately opens with rape and then the fallout of it as well as illustrating how it feels for the woman who went through it. Something I wasn't expecting yet appreciated since I've rarely seen that in anime.
The art style is amazing and gorgeous while also surreal and even confusing. The pacing makes it feel far longer than it is, but it's definitely a stand-out for the time it was made. Would urge caution in watching it tho if you can't watch anything dealing with rape. It doesn't pull any punches with it.

The animation style is a lost treasure. But the subject matter is troubling. Deeply misogynistic, full of rape fantasy. But other than that, wheeee!
