I can still remember it was considered scandalous when this movie came out - but it has taken me almost 3 decades to get around to watching it.
I shouldn't have bothered.
It's a mix of pretentiousness, poor acting (although many of the the actors moved onto become household names), single gimmick script, some poor continuity, all topped off with a stupid ending. And then (no fault of the movie) it has aged badly.
Unless you have a heap of spare time, I'd suggest just giving it a miss.
