not funny enough, not scary enough - luckily, the actors felt natural and charismatic, which carries the story along decent enough.
Not particularly scary and there are very few laughs to be unearthed. However, it’s an easy watch and the Irish setting makes it stand out from others in the genre.
It’s well thought out, in the wilderness of the village there are legends for tourists, there’s nothing else to do in the evenings. But they think of it as fables, so the ancients, no one remembers, maybe something happened? The movie is really not very good, not scary and not even funny. It’s strange that the Irish vampire drinks not a pint of ale, but some kind of blood, brrrr...
One of the best comedy horror. that movie was a delight. it has everything, fun, scary suspense and thrill. definitely watching again.
I hear you're a vampire now, Father?
If you like horror comedy, this is a nice local flavour.
It'll never be a global hit, but was probably never intended to be. But I loved seeing Irish tradies dealing with vampires (although, apparently "he's not a f* vampire, he's justa c*")
It won't make you think, it won't make you roll around laughing, it will keep you amused with the right company
Just don't be one of those people who goes into this kind of movies expecting Chaucer
