Breakthrough 2019

These faith-based movies play very differently for people who have it verses people who believe in other things than God. The movie was okay but it by no means spoke to me or made me anything other the annoyed really since the word "God" repeats itself like 20-30 times in the movie. At some point it's like okay, I get it, and I can accept it and be fine watching it but it doesn't need to be shoved down my throat which this movie without a doubt did do in it's pursuit to it's predictable ending. A little less faith cram and about 20 minutes less time would've done this movie wonders.

Proof, if any were really needed, that God does exist. Better than a lot of faith-based movies, this is worth watching for Christians and non-Christians alike. And for those who don't have faith, I hope this goes some way towards making you thinking about God's power and what He could do for you.

Wow now that's what a call a movie and the fact that is a true story is amazing, one word it was a "Miracle"...an amazing story of John Smith which look like he wouldn't survive from being under the ice for so long and having no pulse or heartbeat for just on a hour and the doctors were just about to give up and his mum wouldn't let him go so the power of pray from his desperate mother and suddenly he had a pulse, shows you that Faith is such a powerful thing and proves there are miracles and that there is a God..make sure you watch this beautiful movie, just have the tissues handy as I promise you will cry after this....will be buying this movie for sure....

What a load of tosh, it's a good that he didn't die but seriously, c'mon get real people, you believe god did this how about the fact that the kid was a fighter and he and he alone gave death the middle finger and chose live. Don't give the credit some weirdy beardy dude.

It's a faith-based movie, so better to know that going in because there is a lot of praying and naming God. The message is clear and set out in an inspiring story based on true events. They told John's story from the perspective of his mother but also shed light on his perspective before and after his accident. In this way it was well-balanced.

This is a good movie and an inspiring story, but it also felt a bit long at times but that's mostly because of its predictability. The trailer already gave away some of the most pivotal moments. We already know from the trailer that he's going to fall in the water, we know he's found miraculously, we know he survived(at least long enough to be in a coma), and we can guess that this wouldn't be a movie if there wasn't some kind of miraculous ending. And because we already know all of that, it sometimes felt slow as we waited for it to go where we all knew it was going anyways.
