Mélanie Laurent is such an underrated director. She uses her tools like a switchblade to scrape away all that is unnecessary and what remains are the things that are hard to look at.
That said, I'm a sucker for a film with a happy ending.

I thought this was just another lesbian light-drama, with some cute shit, a little crying and a happy ending... Jesus! I was so completely wrong and now I'm WRECKED!
