Cars 2006

For me, best Pixar picture :)

"Cars" is a predictably nice story about a hotshot race car that learns a lesson in humility and respect for others. The "Lightning McQueen" character is not the most likable, that honor belongs to the sidekick redneck truck named "Mater". The Ferrari-loving Luigi and Guido are scene-stealers, too.

The best thing about this movie is the fantastic animation and how they used actual car makes and models. Porsches, Dodges, VWs, even Hudsons were represented. The scenery was very well done and the small town of Radiator Springs was '50s retro.

Watch this for the detail of the animation and let the run-of-the-mill story ride along in the back seat.

Loved it! I watched it about seven times in a row the first time I had my hands on it from the video store.

A computer animated Disney movie with a mediocre plot. It is funny but nothing more.

I got nothing bad to say about this movie. Two thumbs up!

a timeless classic, used to be my favorite animated film and still is!

How the fuck do these cars reproduce

Its entertaining, packed with stunning imagery, and a sound design that envelops you with perfection. and the kids love it all.

However, ITS F*CKING "DOC HOLLYWOOD (1991)"!!
and the lack of acknowledgment about that makes me hold much hate towards the series.

What a fantastically creative animation movie that is also entertaining for adults. A very inspiring movie that teaches kids to be more open and accepting of others, but most importantly to be humble and not selfish. Disney presents this is a way of a world where everything is a car and there is a young promising race car who is very selfish, but is forced to see the light of that after getting lost and ending up in a remote town that he has to serve community service in after wrecking the town. The plot sequencing is very well done as well as all of the little details.

Not one of Pixar's best, especially coming after The Incredibles and before Ratatouille. But still good.

I wanted to watch this movie a long time ago, but I missed it for various reasons. Recently, I watched this movie. I am puzzled by the decline in Pixar's screenwriting ability.

A fun one to watch.

'Cars' is very good Disney, not quite in the upper echelons of their releases but certainly close. The voice cast do a lot of grand work, while the animation is super. I also like the tension building and set-up of the racing stuff, even if they don't take the overly realistic approach - which is fine.

Owen Wilson is terrific as Lightning McQueen, while Bonnie Hunt and Larry the Cable Guy give noteworthy performances as Sally and Mater. The rest of the cast are good, including Michael Keaton (Chick Hicks). There's yet another role for John Ratzenberger, who features in a funny end credits gag.

Solid soundtrack, amusing humour and it even has a decent amount of heart to it too. Would recommend.

Hands down the best Pixar movie EVER.

My boys are absolutely bonkers for Lightning McQueen and Tow Mater right now, but had never actually seen the movie. Needless to say, they loved it, and I discovered that my own opinion has softened over time. Of course, it still can't hold a torch to the innocent humor of Toy Story, the sentimentality of Monsters, Inc. or the pulse-pounding twists of The Incredibles, but it fits in snugly on the second tier alongside A Bug's Life and Ratatouille.

The theme may have seemed transparently concocted to sell merchandise, but as a product of the era when Pixar didn't do anything they didn't believe in, it still resonates with thoughtful care and well-placed emotion. Perhaps unfairly cast aside at first, it's a well-made, lovingly executed film that tugs shamelessly at the heart strings when its main theme bubbles to the surface.

Well in my opinion,i felt the movie was actually pretty good, first of all because the idea was something new that was portrayed beautifully through animation, which according to me was the best source for the movie to be effective.
Secondly,i feel that the movie had good animation as fine details were looked into.
The only thing the film lacked was a spark that could have transcended the movie to another level as they had a unique storyline but I feel that somewhere in between they lost track of the main idea there and somehow thought that they could link all the parts together for a beautiful show, but that wasn't the case,at least in my humble opinion

Certainly not the best Disney-Pixar movie ever made :|

While this isn't bad I don't get why Pixar did a sequel and now apparently a 3rd movie. Since Cars is just good not spectacular. Films like Wall-E and Up are their best. Cars sequels won't get them more Oscars.
