Cassandra's Dream tells the story of two brothers, both are a failure. One is addicted to any kind of game from poker to dog racing, the other one dreams to be a successful business man. Both are childish and foolish. The greed of being rich just lead them into more and more mess in their lifes.
Until the first hour I have to say that I was quite bored. The story couldn't keep me interested during all of the time. The next forty minutes of the film are a bit more interesting and thrilling, but yet don't expect too much because that moments are not consistent.
I usually like Ewan McGregor (he will always be my dear Christian. Yes, I love Moulin Rouge!) I think he is a very fine actor but I didn't like to see him in this film. His acting seemed forced! Colin Farrell does not surprise me quite often, this was one of those cases. Their chemistry as brothers did not worked for me as well. Sally Hawkings and Tom Wilkinson are great in their supporting roles.
In the end there's a good moral resolution to this story, however I think the plot is structured in a way that the audience looses the interested halfway because it's locked at the same point for too much time.
