Loved it! It's a fun movie.
Despite the film having many predictable moments; it's one of the better films both the Rock and Kevin Hart have done. I actually prefer Hart more restrained and less hyper. That's when you can tell there's some talent there.
While the Rock's Bob Stone is probably one of the most huggable characters since John Candy in Planes Trains and Automobiles. Meaning you just can't help feeling sorry for what the guy went through as a teenager.
As an action film; Central Intelligence is cliche and you see the twists coming a mile away. The movie works better as a bully movie. The charm in the film is Calvin (Kevin Hart) being the only guy who was ever nice to Bob (The Rock) in High School. Which leads Bob there when Calvin needs encouragement that his life now isn't that bad.
I feel as if I should be hating on this film, but I kinda liked it - just not entirely sure why.
'Central Intelligence' isn't the strongest attempt at comedy, it doesn't do anything particularly unique as it produces a lot of things you've seen before. The premise itself isn't entertaining, while a number of the jokes simply don't land.
However, I still look back on this with somewhat good thoughts. The film surprisingly starts and ends with heart, which I didn't expect. Dwanye Johnson (Robbie) and Kevin Hart (Calvin) work well together, it is one of the weaker performances I've seen from Johnson; even so I appreciate him giving something slightly different from his usual. It's also cool to see Aaron Paul (Phil) and Jason Bateman (Trevor) involved.
I believe, all in all, it's the likeable cast and unpredicted (minor) charm that keeps things ticking over to avoid everything dragging. Johnson and Hart have done better, though.
Cheesy yet fun to watch
A fast based, silly cheesy at times.. but balanced out with its comedy, and action... over all fun, and laugh out loud.... good cast.. predictable ending...
Just terrible. 4 / 10 feels generous.
Enjoyable and pretty funny. Kevin Hart plays his usual fast-talking character. The Rock plays a man-child.
It's better than you'd think, an enjoyable evening watch. It isn't a classic by any means but not every film has to be.
Fun, action, a bit of heart...
7/10
decent movie all around nothing groundbreaking here but worth a watch. kevin heart and the rock always work great together, they have such great on screen chemistry. the story wasn't the greatest and was extremely predictable but it's a comedy so not really the biggest problem.
Kevin hart plays the same exact character in every movie.
Funny, funny,funny,funny,funny
Look into my tuuuuuuuuuube.... you're getting sleeeeeeeeeeepyyyyyy
Why even bother making a comedy if you can't make it funny at all?
There is not a lot of intelligence on show here in this predictable, unfunny comedy.
I love The Rock and I found him to be just a little annoying here which is saying a lot when Kevin Hart is the co-star. This is a movie that we've seen a million times over and there isn't enough comedy to make it memorable. The cameos are the best part of Central Intelligence and they still are pretty unnecessary.
2 hours of my life I'll never get back. Fan of both Hart and Johnson but this just floundered like a fish on a dock that no one would hit on the head.
I laughed at one moment and it was in outtakes during the credits.
Very disappointed
-Really bad acting from The Rock
-The plot twist doesn't make much sense
+This movie managed to put a smile on my sad face and it's entertaining so it's not that bad after all
Run of the mill movie. Nothing surprising, not enough balance between the "The Rock-Action" and the comedic "Hart-part". Hart was too much at times and pushing the scenes. That type of humor where the actor is at 200%, talking nonstop, not listening to logic/reason to create a "humorous", misunderstood reaction scene (i.e. couple therapy scene). It failed more often than not and was tiring as well.
Story was done ad nauseam already, so was the uneven-duo. Characters aren't sufficiently explored, it's a simple kid got bullied and turned himself around, most popular kid got a "boring", "standard" adult life and longs for more excitement story. It never goes beyond this. It's not even a brainless action movie type because it clearly tries to be a very cheesy, trope-driven action "comedy" making you cringe. The true villain and "his" story is a joke and predictable, yet again something that was done ad nauseam. Typical case of a famous actor who won't just be in this to get killed off after being seen in one or two scenes (filmmakers should start doing this to fool the audience).
Even though the reference to another show he was in and the other cameo was nice.
It's not an entirely unentertaining movie, though. But it has nothing really going for it that would make me say you need to watch this, there's nothing worthwhile. It's probably a movie that is only for Dwayne Johnson die-hard fans.

An interesting and fun plot for an action comedy as it follows 2 high school aquantinces who reunite in unlikely circumstances as one tricks the other into helping on a CIA mission right before their 20 year high school reunion. The casting is great and the hilarious scenes are great mixture with the action all the way through. It’s not the best movie in the world and it’s just a silly action but it’s for an entertaining watch.

I really enjoyed this film
Laughed a lot! Really loved the movie! Only The Rock got a weird role but the movie was still very good!
Bob: No, you're just sexy as dick right now.
Calvin: You don't look somebody in the eyes and say that.
I went in with low expectations and had some fun. The movie is a tad different than what the trailer depicted. Kevin Hart had funny moments but was also serious a lot of the time which was a good change of pace.
It was an OK fun movie, it would of been better if Dwayne Johnson had a better script. He is a fine actor and should of, would have carried this movie further than just OK
The Rock and Kevin Hart pair up as a set of dysfunctional high school acquaintances who embark on a quest for gunfights and fireballs on the eve of their high school reunion. The leading duo has a great rapport, funny without feeling forced, and it's a good thing because that's where all the magic lies; the plot is flimsy as all get-out.
I understand, it's important not to overthink a dumb buddy comedy, and Central Intelligence brings a lot of amusing, brainless fun to the table. Sometimes it pushes a bit too far, though, and that's tough to look past. I'm talking about the watery acting (when they aren't ad-libbing, the two leads ham it up like a Christmas dinner), terribly awkward music decisions (shoehorned to fit the late '90s theme) and downright awful effects work (The Rock's face superimposed over a heavy-set teen is especially bad). There's enough meat here to merit another adventure with these guys - their social media promo clips for the film show they've got compatibility in spades - but next time let's aim for something a bit less trashy and lightweight.
Fun movie that's not meant to be taken too seriously. If you're expecting the plot and script to be bulletproof you'll be disappointed, but if like me you're expecting a funny enough movie with some action scenes then you'll enjoy it. Perfect movie to have on while you're cleaning the house or something.
Don’t go into this film thinking you are going to see a silly but exciting spy drama. Quite frankly the plotline and story presented with Central Intelligence are neither central to the film’s purpose or in any shape intelligent. Clearly, this film was made as another vehicle to showcase Dwayne Johnson amiable hunk film persona along with Kevin Hart’s uptight and intense version. To this extent the film works with the schtick being Johnson is the loveable and over-enthusiastic nerd, although still massive, imposing and impossible to defeat in any situation and Hart, normally more wild and bug-eyed, playing a straight up 9 to 5 white collar bore. It works but it really isn’t so different or unusual that I sat up from slump on the sofa as the film played out.
Both actors have a good chemistry with each other and with Amy Ryan and it is this dynamic that saves the film from being just another m’eh in a long, long, line of mismatched partners comedy films.
The film does try to make a point about cruelty and bullying but in huge broad strokes that only an utter idiot or the world’s biggest bully might not get and we get to this point by having the most poorly written and pointless cameo as Jason Bateman pops up as the father of all bullies with his cartoonish and shoe-horned in character. It was at his appearance that the film started to lose me.
The action side of the film with shooting and even death involved is almost a side issue it is so silly and slight. I’m sure they didn’t make this film to be this way though.
I understood that early on the spy, CIA side, of the film should not be taken too seriously and mismatched friends are where the viewers should be focussing but this overworked trope was going to have to be completely captivating and different to keep me glued to the screen. Johnson and Hart just about worked enough magic and fun to stop me sighing continuously but it was close.
Everyone in the film keeps things moving on, there is some funny laugh out loud moments, not enough but they are there, but the longer the film goes on the more it sags under its own weight and by the end it is dragging along.
It’s a shame because Johnson’s on-screen presence is certainly enough to keep most viewers enthralled because in all honesty it’s a big as him and his 100 Megawatt smile. It works, he knows it works, and film-makers do. Kevin Hart with his considerable smaller frame and more intense energy, can also work in the right film, playing off against the personality of Johnson it works but in this viewers opinion it needs a better script and film.
Enough for a wet Sunday afternoon or a boring middle of the weeknight but film-makers have to got to stop churning out these films unless they do something different, something that’ll make anyone over twenty-years-old sit up and take notice.
Close but no cigar – even for the artist formerly known as ‘The Rock’.
This movie was aite. Funny at times, I was expecting more action.
This movie is HILARIOUS and The Rocks character is one of my favorite movie characters EVER! LOVE IT!!!
This movie made me laugh so hard truly one of the funniest movies I've seen in ages I think they should make a sequel
Definitely didn't expect that. The movie was ok and the cast was pretty nice but I was actually a bit thrown off by the Rock. I get it, it's part of the character but Fanny pack please!!!
Kevin Hart on the other hand probably was at his best. I love him as a comedian but there.. I really enjoyed seeing him show his other talents.
I'd give it a 6/10 & only because of the bloopers. They were actually better than the movie.
Repetetive plot with minor changes. The lack of a B Story made several scenes last too long thus making me lose interest.
Faults obviously and the story derails towards the very end but it made me smile and laugh through out, especially the first 20 minutes as they looked back. Good easy movie.
6.5/10 hilarious but there's a few plotholes
Overrated, hyped and rushed! Still it provides some entertainment if bored..
The film is so-so.
Kevin Hart and Dwayne Johnson makes a good pairing for the mains in this. The chemistry between them was excellent and made the whole movie. The writing was so-so, but when the actors manage to make you laugh anyway it goes by (almost) unnoticed. The supporting cast was also good enough to make Central Intelligence a pleasant surprise...
Don't expect high art, but you will laugh...
Kevin Hart was his isual funny the Rock was terrible, over acted shoukd have pkayed it less dorky. Coukd have been a good movie if he played his usual character and less like erkle
THIS MOVIE......I just couldn't stop laughing, 2 hours have passed since I've seen it and i'm still thinking about it!
Kevin and Dwayne are so much fun and the references in this movie are just GOLD!
Was surprised to see Megan Park and Melissa McCarthy in the cast, even with small roles;
Not to mention the appearance of a young Molly Ringwald on tv LOL
Think I'm gonna see this movie in the cinema again :P
funny asf this is probably the best movie lmao 10/10

Fair is a good tag to comment for the movie. Everything that you need to see is in the trailer, Hart and the rock are a good pair with a few awkward laughs. Hit and miss i would say, the plot is really basic with no surprises.
