Certified Copy. An Iranian-born director filmed the movie set in Tuscany, with the main characters speaking a combination of English, French and Italian. And this director doesn't just have skills as a linguist, the cinematography is fantastic. Not only is this incredibly well acted, but you definitely get more out of it from repeated watches. In fact, that's kind of the whole point of the movie. The entire theme of Certified Copy is a discussion on what constitutes as art, and how it's not really the piece itself that gives it its meaning, but our interpretation of it. And just by adding more contextual details about it, that we didn't previously know, it almost changes the entire meaning of what we're viewing. Fantastic film, and I highly recommended it.
