Full of action and violence. The body count ticks over very nicely. Think of it as a Punisher movie with a good female lead.
Colombiana is a decent revenge film. The action scenes were alight, not great; I have seen better. This movie was better than I thought it would be. It was worth the rental.
I thought the first hour or so was actually not that bad. Maybe even up the point where she goes on her revenge trip. Quite okay thriller and mainly good performances; reminded me of Leon the Professional in some parts.
The last 20 min though that was... just horrible. Bad writing and even worse directing. Basically ruined the movie for me.
Zoe Saldana, is for me the best female actress, and a very nice picture from Luc Besson
Tough reviews, thought the movie was really good, constant action, portray focused & active assassin. Not many movies where you see this with a woman. If only the movie salt could of been this good. Better fight & gun scenes & they didn't need a big name like Angelina Jolie to do it, great!
If you like the idea of Zoe Saldaña kicking arse and still looking great while doing it, well this is it. It's sexy and fun but kinda forgettable.

It was fun watching Saldana as a cold-blooded killer. She played the role well. The movie starts with a 12-13yr-old version of Cataleya in a James Bond fashion. Mostly they kept that energy up for most of the movie. It's a solid watch.

An excellent mix of action, sex and violence
Between chores on a Sunday afternoon, I was looking for a brainless action film and that's exactly what Colombiana is. Ultimately, Zoe Saldana makes this amply watchable.
The main character is so disgusting, that I watched the movie to the end, only to find out whether she die or not.
As an action movie i consider this one like any of the Arnold Schwarzenegger movies from the eighties, one killing machine against an entire army of bad guys. But in stead of a big muscle guy we get a hot chick.
The movie wasn't bad, it follows the standard routine that we have seen so many times before. Nothing really special or worth mentioning. Zoe Saldana did nonetheless a good job.
@BenFranklin: I don't know witch version you have been watching, but in the one i watched no girl carried a man around. I agree that the little girl did a good job on the first half of the movie.
so many coincidences. ...and so predictable.
This is not a masterpiece, but in the action genre, it's not too bad.
I liked the first part as Cataleya was 10 years old (IMO: that little actress did an amazing job).
Right after that it gets too excessive ... like a 100 pound girl carrying a 180 pound man and such crap - not my thing.
One movie I'll never watch again.
