A 1990 comedy I had not heard of starring Dudley. I was not very unenthusiastic.
From the start we get nice images of advertising so we know our character Emory probably works in that field and he does. Emory is a little pushy in his moral ideologies. He can't seem to lie anymore. Does that make him crazy? Certainly makes him ill equipped for his job so he ends up in a mental asylum for a break. From the start it's a very good movie. I had no idea Moore was so good an actor and the humour is funny. It hasn't dated. The jokes are primarily one liners from the advertising and Emory's dry humour. The main boss also had me laughing.
The cheesy romantic element may be the factor that slows the movie down a little but it's important to the story. I just wish it was better. Emory gets ls biting as he likes his surroundings. The story itself had the potential to be a lot better (it had the ingredients) but it settled for something light, whimsical and fun. It was fun. I laughed loud a few times watching. The end is slow and it effects the overall impression.
I'd recommend this movie to anyone. The first half is especially great. 6/102 but so easily could have been more.
