The talent of the Venom Mob is undeniable, and it's even more on display in Crippled Avengers than the film they got their name from. Gone is the narratively driven film that was The Five Venoms, and what you get is a revenge plot with a little twist at the beginning...and, of course, a whole film worth of highly acrobatic venom-fu. Entertaining as hell, but in a different way than its predecessor. I now know why these were featured on the same disk on Arrows Shaw Scope Volume 1. I have never watched them back to back before. It has some typical Chang Cheh stuff that is a bit annoying, but other than that, Crippled Avengers is pure gold.
Highly recommended to double feature this with The Five Venoms. Makes for one hell of an evening!!!
