Not as good as the other true-crime documentaries that led me to watch it. It's certainly no 'The Jinx' or 'The Staircase'. It plays like a student film, and is reasonably watchable if taken as such.
The only really discordant moments are a cringey, trying-too-hard-to-be-scary night scene in the woods, and a few scenes that almost sprained something trying to connect everything to demonic cults. This is a 2009 film; it should know that the Satanic Panic of the 1980s and 1990s wasn't a real thing.
“Giving it a spin via Netfux Streaming for my 31 Days Of Horror. Another flick I recall hearing good things about, so fingers crossed.”
