Cry of the Werewolf, this was terrible. I was expecting a horror movie, and while it is that, it's much more a mystery - including annoying 1940s police - with a romance shoved in. The movie is only an hour, but it drags! You feel every second of this. There is no plot, the characters are never developed, we're just thrown into a world and have to deal with it. One part I thought was sort of interesting was the transformation: our werewolf is a quadruped, meaning just a wolf. While this is one of the few movies that does not go with the bipedal human/wolf hybrid, I get the sense it was done for budget reasons and not as an artistic choice. Another big problem here is the movie wanting to blend mythology: this is a werewolf movie, but it wants to throw in magic too. Seems as though in addition to shapeshifting, our antagonist possesses mind-control capabilities. Just lazy, poorly written, overall bad.
