What the hell did I just watch?
The mix between the different styles was just breathtakingly bad. Not only was it done so poorly, it also didn't even resemble the characters one bit between the two styles. The use of 3D CGI was just... I can't find any words. I found myself guessing which character I was looking at throughout the whole movie.
Dead Space: Downfall was a really good movie, so what the hell happened to this one? Talk about brainfart. This one is absolutely not worth a watch. Keep away.
It's unfortunately marred by some really awful CG animation. But the stories in between, with the different styles of anime was cool. As was getting different perspectives of the same story, Rashomon-style. It's a very interesting and graphic universe this plays in, but again, the animation in the wraparounds ruins this movie...

Mediocre film with some seriously distracting and ugly CGI for the main story.
I loved the games and could be a very intersting universe to draw some compelling stories from, but this was just cliched and even boring.
