I didn't know this was a thing until I stumbled across it. Jack Black in a Christmas movie? Sign me up. Clicked it without any idea what it was about or who the target audience is. Was it perfect? Nope. Was it worth it for Jack Black? Absolutely.

I am unsure who the target audience is, but this movie was just off. Its a Meh.
The brother coming back to life at the end is awful. What a terrible message.
The father and Jack black were good for a few laughs though.

Was too long, a lot of the parents stuff could have been done in 2 scenes, lacks charm. It features Keegan-Michael Key who sucks all enjoyment from anything he's near
My 9yr old liked most of it, she didn't get bored like I did... but she did spend quite a bit of time repeating the few things that made her laugh, and talked about what she would have wished for.
The ending didn't make sense (can't change history) but it led to the final laugh.
I still expect "dumb & dumber" slapstick hilarity from a farrelly movie. I'm never gonna learn.

Saw all the hate comments, nearly put me off watching, then realises they all just hate Jack black because of the tenacious D stuff earlier this year...
I found this movie fine, I did a few laughs, glad I watched, probably won't be a yearly watch but I expect I'll watch again at some point!! The ending made me super happy Ngl
such a WILD movie to exist. pretty bad yet entertaining in parts but boring in others.
This movie is giving bad, weird, uncomfortable vibes.
The kid actors were great but the writing is bad, Jack Black is his usual terrible self, nothing makes much sense and there's a faint hints of pedo wafting through this stinker.
felt cheap and cheesy trailer was made for grown ups but the movie was blend and boring and for kids.
Ughh, the irony is that someone must have sold their soul for this to get into production. However, It's a mindless Christmas watch if you want to be mildly entertained.... half way in I was already committed to finish it and there was a few good moments. Just don't have any high expectations and you might be pleasantly surprised.
Jack Black was good as usual but that’s about it. The ending feels weird….
