Death Hunt 1981

It's a strangely comedic action/thriller set in the old west but with it's heart completely in the 1980s ultra-violent exploitation era. Shoot-outs, guns blazing, over the top acting, gun chests filled with shotguns and ammo chains. Just don't use logic or you'll miss all the gags thrown in and the over-the-top hilarity of it all, you big dumb bag of dirt!

Death Hunt is a neat little action/western starring Lee Marvin, Carl Weathers and Charles Bronson alongside a great supporting cast. It is directed by "On Her Majesty's Secret Service" director Peter R. Hunt.

The film has beautiful scenery, some ultra-violence and some old bad-asses kicking ass in Marvin and Bronson! These two guys are fantastic right? I miss these kind of actors today! The story however isn't that logic but hey! Who cares of the ride is so entertaining? A WW-1 fighter-plane? Bear traps? Gore? Shoot-outs? People who are so dumb you can sell them dirt? It is all there!

I was looking for a western and found this little one, I still think it is more of a action flick but hey, it has that western surroundings! Anyway Death Hunt is worth checking out for everyone who loves those 80's action movies!
