It was a 7/10 for me until they decided to sent him back. Before they told us no living thing can pass through but suddenly our protagonist can, just because plot requires him to do so. Also Doug seems to care more about a single woman than 500+ people on that ferry. That made it meh! for me.

Déjà Vu is yet another great Denzel Washington film. This thriller was really fun to watch. Although the plot twist around sometimes it was still entertaining and enjoyable to follow. The cast were all excellent. Overall it is amazing and I never get tired of watching it. Déjà Vu is definitely on the top 10 of Washington's greatest films.

I pushed it to a 90%!

Awesome movie... really enjoyed it. You actually need to see this one a few times, just to fully understand the story (and to check whether there are movie mistakes in it... due to the time travel stuff... xD)

Maybe to heavy for some, but I am a fan... so I recommend ;)

Hokey science and extremely predictable. Denzel wants again playing the smartest guy in the world in this case an ATF agent. The worst part was the ridiculous stereotype "domestic terrorist" white guy boogeyman Hollywood loves to demonize.

A fast paced thriller with mediocre performance by DW.
Unfortunately it has many plotholes and inconsistencies regarding the time travel/time watcher aspect of the flic. There are many small parts, however the biggest one is basically the overall story. We see hints of the "alternate" reality placed throughout the movie. For example the ambulance that crashed into the house by the lake/river/swamp, his partners death by the site of the incident. However how the fuck does Douglas not save everyone. Did he already attempt to do so and failed? And this time he was successful, died and his self of the reality he went to just does not anything about, therefore never going back in time?
Anyway, the ending was not done poorly and left me with a sour taste in my mouth. Of course Douglas does not remember what happened, I don't know why they would even attempt to leave the audience wondering about this. Just a cheap attempt to make this all seem more mysterious.

This does no however mean that I did not enjoy the movie. Like I said, it is fast paced, never gets boring and is definitely entertaining past its mistakes.

A good thriller, not more and not less. But how they can look back in time (and even transport items there) is only partially illustrated and therefore I found it not very unrealistic. Additional, the movie is not very intriguing but because of the plot's fast pace it never gets boring.

As soon as you travel back in time you should have the brain to instantly connect the dots of what you know from the future when you stumble upon important and really apparent hints..
The stupidity from this point on annoyed the hell out of me.

When Doug stole the ambulance he should have known already, that he in fact did do "it" before, travel back in time. Doug should have known that he was the one driving the ambulance into the house.
Apparently he did fail the first time there (and not the second for whatever reason considering how close it was) and got killed as the woman's body had no fingers.
He should have also known that it was his blood in the woman's sink. That all his fingerprints from all over the place were from this time.
Gosh, throughout the first half Doug Carlin is that incredibly smart guy, a reason why he teamed up with those specialists and looses this important character trait when it actually counts just because of plot..
Average film, despite (or because of) its apparent plot holes.
