Dog 2022

I wasn't expecting this to be as good as it is. It covers the heart of those that serve, including the dogs. I think this movie does a good job trying to reach veterans that need help, having been one myself that like Tatum's character kept telling myself I didn't for years. The poetic factor that he saves the dog as she saves him, really a well written script. Tatum does an excellent job, especially in the scene towards the end in the bathroom.

It's not a warm fuzzy dog movie. It's a referendum on healing from the scenes with the hippie to where the doctor says he's not going to press charges to the brother sister reunion to the funeral. There's a lot of things that our country needs to learn to heal and this movie pulls them all in for two warriors, a guy and a dog.

Good movie overall. No real action just a good story with some comedy thrown. This one proves that every movie doesn't need to be full of CGI movie to be enjoyable

Channing Tatum has officially reached that stage of his career.

Not being American, military movies don't do much for me and the dog was like one of those annoying movie kids. And you could see the ending coming from a mile away. But I still liked some of the bonding scenes.

Better then expected. Not much action, just two vets bonding and trying to get over their issues.

Very disappointing. Had a promising premise of a heart warming story of a military man's developing bond with a retired military dog, which it does have but other sub plots become too large which makes the movie feel unfinished or rushed. Certainly some sweet scenes showing the bond between the dog and main character, but some unnecessary scenes smear the entertaining main plot points and then all of a sudden its the end of the movie.

Go watch and have a good time. Easy to watch, beautiful story about a mans best friend.

'Dog' won me over by its end.

Across the first half of this film, I wasn't feeling it at all - the whole vibe of the film just felt off, with lead Channing Tatum not really doing anything for me. However, the second half does, in fairness, save it. By the conclusion, I actually felt invested in both characters - quite the turnaround!

Who doesn’t love a dog movie… and Channing Tatum! This was a touching movie of overcoming trauma and regaining trust. An enjoyable film.

i think the movie name is LAME !!! should have been named lulu or something . still loved it

This was better than I thought. The trailer I saw, had me thinking it was a cheesy road trip comedy from the early 2000's. This had some touching moments.

Lulu is such a beauty

Predictable and lacking originality, it can be seen without expecting much from it.

Very disappointing movie. Mediocre, even a movie with a dog. Some nice bonding scenes but it lacks of story and actually meaning.

dog x military = a movie that should make you cry but I personally didn’t womp womp

Quality Movie.
Don’t know why Channing Tatum gets a bad rap.
Theres been a few movies with dogs lately but they all look and play out the same. Unlike this the dog is actually apart of it with his own backstory.

Boring. Shallow. Woke. Best I can describe this terrible movie.

loading replies

Good story good acting really bothered how many times that dog was locked in the car with the windows up. I know it's a movie but it's perpetuating the myth that it's safe.

I enjoyed this more than I was expecting to - Channing Tatum was a good pick to play the character of an Ex army soldier who must take a dead crewmates dog across the states of America in order to make it to his funeral on time. I wasn't to like it but I did just that - I didn't love it because it was pitched as a comedy and I didn't find it as comedic as I thought it would be but all of the aside it is a decent watch for a Saturday night.

Most 'dog' movies are mawkish and sentimental. This one manages to escape that trend and is enjoyable to watch as a result. It's a good film overall even if it is overly patriotic at times.

Ok, but grey's anatomy is NOT trash tv! That dog had damn good taste!

This movie was preposterous! This Ranger has served among trained military dogs and knows that they respond to voice commands; to attack and to cease an attack, and various other useful commands to handle the dog. Yet he never once used any of them to control Lulu, and the chaos that resulted in injury and stress to her was extremely disturbing to me. It was difficult to watch him make every mistake he could possibly make in his journey to the funeral - with Lulu in tow. Throughout the movie I was constantly agitated at his ignorance and I almost quit watching a number of times.

Good movie. Shows the real relationship between a pet and it’s owner and how not only humans but pets also I’ve feelings. It’s refreshing to see such a movie. Roles were played great

I'm not a Channing Tatum fan. Like so many other actors, he has essentially one character he plays with slight variations between movies, but it's the same guy. This is him playing the same guy, but the story is heartwarming and occasionally charming and the end, while predictable, was good.

Not being a fan of his I watched this because the topic appealed to me as a combat veteran, and I wasn't disappointed (so long as you don't analyze the inaccuracy of the military aspect of things too much).

I'm not crying, you're crying. Dog movies are absolutely my weakness.

A good movie for Dog lovers.

As someone who doesn't live in the USA, that scene in Portland is exactly how I imagine that shithole to be. The only lunatics missing were antifa.
