There is nothing in this film I don't like. For starters, the plot is interesting and historical convenient. A nun suspecting of a catholic priest molesting a child. And magnificently narrated with nothing more than that: a suspect. Nothing clear. Doubt. The job done by all the actors is amazing. The casting was perfect. Philip Seymour Hoffman as the amazed priest who watches as a nun is pointing fingers at him. Meryl Streep as the nun who has years of experience and suspects of him immediately. Amy Adams as the young nun who wants to believe the priest but is the first at suspecting. And Viola Davis as the mother of the suspected molested child who is actually suffering from domestic violence. The cinematography is brilliant with its pale colors through the entire movie to show the coldness of the school and how strict it is. One of the best films in the 2000's.
When one has absolute certainty without evidence, how can one say whether it's faith or delusion?

Very charcter and dialogue driven movie and Meryl Streep, Amy Adams, Viola Davis, and Philip Seymour Hoffman are all phenomenal and all battle serious topics and real issues with their characters for this movie and all did a great job.
Pretty good movie. Thumbs up.

As an atheist and a lover of good film I found this film interesting on so many levels. The acting and story were absolutely super. Such a shame we couldn't have gotten another few dozen films from Seymour Hoffman.
