The Most Seductive Evil of All Time Has Now Been Unleashed in Ours.
In the millenium version of this classic Gothic horror we find Abraham Van Helsing (Plummer), who has tangled with Count Dracula (Butler) in the past, working as an English antiques dealer. Simon (Miller) is a vampire hunter in training under his apprenticeship.

I watched this when I was about fifteen, so what I remember might be really off. From what I can recall, it felt like this movie really didn't know what to do with itself: It was like the plot, characterisation, etc. were all just thrown together for the sake of it. There was no real arc, no sense of "this is where, how, why we want to end it". Like a seventh grade student who has write their first essay on something they've never even heard of before, the elements of the movie weren't bad per se, but in context, I wondered if there was any reason they even made the movie. Obviously, it's possible that there was some really artsy hidden meaning that I just didn't get because I was fifteen years old, but I'm not entirely sure that's really the case.
