What a beautiful movie... I didn't cry, you cried!
Its pretty great. There aren't a lot of anime movies as a whole that isn't either ghibli's more abstract movies or tie-ins to a series. Although it wasn't as personally touching as A Whisker Away was for me, It is still really good and worth a watch : If you enjoyed this, check out A Whisker Away, Your Name, Weathering with You, I Want to Eat your Pancreas and The Garden of Words :)
It was technically pleasing but I couldn't get into the plot or characters and felt bored several times. I see the poetic apeal of the theme, but a 30 minutes short movie would have been enough.
i liked the original idea of having these "lost" & "demolished" places like the apartment complex and ferris be represented the way they were, and the whole movie had the same vibes as "penguin highway" in a sense, animation was good obviously, score and voice acting
the theme of 'learning how to say goodbye' was great too
This was okay. I feel like it's kind of overrated though. I never really felt that emotionally connected to any of the characters and I felt like the movie really started to drag after a while. Two hours was just too long for this movie, it really should've been closer to 90 minutes. The animation was definitely the best part of this. If you want a really good, emotional anime movie go watch A Silent Voice. If you want a good, emotional anime with a supernatural twist go watch Your Name. This movie just wasn't it for me.

A decently good movie with amazing animation and a good plot. Although the dialogues were a little bit too much for characters of such age but that's just how Japanese anime works.
