An important message which a lot of Americans aren't aware of, yet should be aware of, as it's one of the reasons why there is such a hate towards the USA from the majority of the world.
Sadly, the movie is too slow, actually boring, and lacks in depth.
It's something that would have been great as short film or as an episode of a TV series, like a similar series as the British Spooks, but no, this isn't actually worth the watch, as it's likely you will either fall asleep while watching, or just plainly discontinue watching, which makes you miss the point of watching this completely...
I am still rating it 6 out of 10 based on it daring to bring across a message most Americans are avoiding to even notice, and even though the movie is just bad, daring to do that does deserve some respect.
Didn't really get going. Kept on waiting for some action, but.....
I had this film on in the background, and just checked in on it as I went about browsing the internet. Didn't miss anything as I went, that's how slowly paced it was. The idea was good, but it felt like they stretched out a short film to 90 minutes.
This movie is slow and boring. I do not recommend it to anyone.
This movie could have been great. I really like the plot. however I found it had a poor script, rubbish acting and a low budget. I also felt that they tried to make it a horror which just didn't work.
Don't watch the trailer as it tells you 90% of the movie.
While starting with plenty of intrigue and many threads of drama, Drone ultimately spirals into a generic, hysteric, trope-riddled mess that fails to hit any of the beats that make for a good, encompassing thriller.

I don't agree with the negativity on this page. While the plotting isn't very plausible, the film is a reasonably effective reminder of the tragedies caused by the American government through the use of drone technology. 'Collateral damage' are words bandied around to appease the actions - killing a few to kill the enemy is not good enough. So, the film isn't perfect, though I did find it quietly compelling and thought provoking.
