Unfortunately not as good as the first movie, but still good!
Save yourself some time and just don't watch this, you'll have to suffer through dumbest movie ever.
Even if this is only half as good as the original it would still be better than most comedies released in recent years. Can't wait for this
So boring. I’d recommend rewatching the original instead.
Harry's Dad: "We loved you, Harry".
Lloyd Christmas: "They loved you long time".
It's be over years since the first movie came out and the critics may have hated the first movie, but for most people it was hilarious and that movie today as been know as the funniest movie that everybody has seen. Now we got the squeal and let me give you the good news and the bad news. The Good News: It isn't as god awful as I thought it was going to be. The Bad News: It isn't as good or as funny as the first movie.
Jim Carry and Jeff Daniels return in their roles and it's like they never left, because both of them were great in the movie.
The movie does have some jokes in the movie that came off unfunny and kind of lazy and the Harry's daughter in the movie wasn't all that interesting or anything special. She was just there to carry the plot a long.
Overall rating: 'Dumb and Dumber To' wasn't as terrible as I thought it was going to be, but there are some jokes in this movie that didn't really work for me and there is a lot of scenes that didn't mash.
This movie accomplishes its goals of being very entertaining, relentlessly humours, with a plot interesting enough to keep you tuned in! So many different scenes and honestly this was a much better film than people are willing to give it credit for. So glad I decided to rewatch this after thinking (what was a movie I truly enjoyed in the theater), yes this gem is what I call a Classic. Its really one of the better pure comedies to come out this past decade, I'm sure critics dont understand comedy however.
This movie is not serious at all so you simply cannot judge it the same way you would a serious film. I laughed so much at this brand of humor and it flowed perfectly with way more twists and turns than I wouldve every thought I'd get from a movie starring two goofballs. I'll have to rewatch the other ones but I'm sure they are good as well but I have a suspicion that this one probably has the best script just because getting successful adult actors to agree to a 3rd movie like this so far apart usually requires the perfect script.. Which this was pretty solid.
The script is actually pretty loophole free until the end where it unties the purpose of everything by bringing all the characters together in such a way that they could have easily bypassed Harry and Llyod altogether... Then it goes a little more wonky with the kidney thing apparently magically taking place in that time span... Other than that the script flowed well with reality as long as we ignored the various crimes they committed... I just had to point out a few obvious issues with the script as I do when reviewing however its not important to be perfect in such a light hearted fun film with no deeper messages like this. I'm sure kids and adults can watch this film together for years to come. Below my review are low score reviews from lifeless losers who cant even write a fair review... This film delivers the laughs, if you dont find anything funny or take offense to their brand of humor you need to loosen up...
I also guess white guys aren't allowed to be funny anymore... Its rare to see caucasian actors making fools of themselves for entire movie for the sake of comedy. The only other caucasian comedian I've seen in movies recently off the top of my head was the dude from the hangover and even that had to be wrapped with super serious dudes...
This pure comedy, Seth Rogan type movies be somewhat funny but not that funny... They have funny moments and situations but their primary goals are usually to tell a story, this movie truly belongs in the comedy category. Its goal was to be funny. And visually if you look at it, there was so much hard work put into this film, so many scenes that you could actually screenshot.. It was more visually appealing than many may care to notice.
In my opinion it was a better overall film than parasite. Idgaf.
Twenty years too late, the Farrelly brothers finally deliver their highly anticipated sequel Dumb and Dumber To. Completely ignoring the prequel, the Farrellys pick-up the story of Harry and Lloyd, with Lloyd getting out of a psychiatric ward after pulling a prank and joining Harry on a quest to find his long lost daughter. Unfortunately, the characters come off more as pathetic and stupid than wacky and fun. And, Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels aren’t able to spark that same charisma that they had in the original. The comedy delivers a fair share of laughs, but tries too hard and doesn’t feel natural to the characters. Dumb and Dumber To is a desperate attempt to relive old glory days...and it fails miserably.
This is a sequel that waited way too long. The chemistry between Jim Carey and Jeff Daniels is still there but there really isn't anything appealing about watching to 50 year old men walking around being idiots for almost 2 hours. The story is a little too similar to the first for my liking and there really isn't anything memorable about it. I still applaud Carey and Daniels for the effort. You can tell that they are giving it their all but Dumb and Dumber humor just doesn't work anymore.
Not so dumb as dumb and dumber ;>
Where the first one was pretty funny, twenty years ago, this movie is an absolute disaster.
Jeff Daniels tries to be funny so bad, it's embarrassing.
It wasn't bad, but it wasn't great either, and certainly not anywhere near as good as the first movie. I had quite a few laughs, that I have to admit, but it was just plain stupid at times.
I like it more than the first one
Not a good movie, but at least it doesn't ruin all the good memories from the original one.

Lets put it like this... The first one for the most of us is childhood classics that have one liners that will stay with us till the day we die.
The sequel had a few giggles but just felt like a boring sequel thay jad every cliche in the book... Just wish theybtried harder.
