Elevation 2024

Great casting direction, but this concept would’ve worked much better as a television show or even a miniseries where they could’ve expanded on the myriad of concepts introduced. This was a speed run

It’s like 2 episode tv premiere. Starts off like “A Quiet Place” ends like “Falling Skies”. Nothing bad, not great.

This is what hollywierd should go back to, simplicity. Good acting and a simple storyline. Is this the best movie in 2024? Nope, but it is a MUST WATCH.

A bit of Quiet place, a bit of Zombie movie and a story with quite a number of logical gaps. Good acting saves the movie from mediocrity. In the end a solid movie of the kind that feel though like already seen.

It is the cheap alternative to Quiet Place. It has bad characters, poor plot, inferior fiction element, no logic and poor pacing. It could have been amazing, there was definite potential to the Idea behind the Movie. But as of right now it is mediocre at best.

Liked the concept, even though it’s just A Quiet Place rip off. This movie doesn’t hit any new story beats and is extremely predictable because of it. Anthony Mackie is fine in this, but man is Morena Baccarin terrible and miscast in this. She usually pretty good in everything I’ve seen her in, here laughably bad in scenes. The monsters don’t look great but what does and will give the film credit is the atmosphere and the beauty shots of nature. It really helps hide how cheap this movie is. It’s not going to kill you to watch but you’ll see the ending coming from 8000 feet away.

The Monsters are very fake looking...cartoonish. kinda like the Hulk........The acting was pretty good, which kept me watching.......but ya once the monsters come out it's laugh time.....look too fake...

Like a tide pool on a beach: much more shallow and superficial then the original that spawned it, and it kinda smells.

This remake of A Quiet Place -- with elevation replacing noise -- shows how important directing is. In Elevation, I feel the director is making a movie about concepts (I'm going to make a scene so people understand what's happening), whereas the nail scene or the birth scene or the noisy toy scene in A Quiet Place is about visceral feelings (I'm going to make a scene so people feel what's happening).

I'm not necessarily saying Krasinski is the next Hitchcock, but he came close in A Quiet Place, and a lot closer than this redundancy comes.

(That said, it was so great seeing Morena Bacarin again!)

Was way too short, but for what it was I enjoyed it... Definitely fishing for a sequel type of movie and the suspense up until the end was a hit or miss... Miss for me
