Escape Plan: The Extractors 2019

Sly mustn't have a mobile in irl as he'd know you don't need to shine a torch light on the screen to watch a video call.

Garbage film.

If this was a puzzle you would throw it away, just to many pieces are missing.
It's not the longest movie. They should have spent a few minutes adding some information. BTW. How do they come up with 97 minutes? The story without intro and credits was just a little more than 75 minutes!?
Anyway, it's better to end this series

I haven't seen either of the previous movies, so I don't draw any comparison. This roughly 90 minutes felt more like an extended episode of some show than a movie in it's own right.
I couldn't stop thinking how stupid those flashlights were. There is plenty of light to see by, but not enough that those flashlights wouldn't give you away.

And did anyone else think that Bao is set up to become the next villain??! I mean, watch him crawl all alone and injured through some sewage tunnels, while the rest is save and relatively sound back in the US.

I almost didn't watch this one after the travesty that was Hades. This movie redeemed itself.

According to Wikipedia this had a $3.6 million budget. For anyone that wanted to point towards that as being reason it's a poor action movie The Raid was made for a third of that and change.

And they forgot to put any Escaping in their Escape movie. Talk about false advertising.

Sylvester Stallone takes back the lead role for the third (and likely last) Escape Plan, The Extractors. This time Ray Breslin must break into a black site prison in Latvia know as Devil’s Station in order to save the daughter of a Chinese media mogul who’s been kidnapped by the son of Beslin’s former partner. Devon Sawa makes for a great villain, and the whole son avenging the father thing helps to connect the film to the first one and feel like a true sequel (unlike the last one). Still, the plot is pretty weak and it’s clearly pandering to the Chinese audience. Yet the fight choreography is especially good, perhaps the best of this series, and add a lots of energy and excitement to the film. Escape Plan: The Extractors is a step up for the series, but is nowhere near as good as the original.

A real stinker but much much better than #2 because Sly is actually in this one. Devon Sawa pulling double duty this year with this and The Fanatic! The Fanatic is more watchable.

This time it's.....a Kung Fu movie, so I guess if your into that.

I hated Escape Plan 2 with a passion. It was a horrible movie with atrocious directing, disgusting cinematography and cheap sets.

This third movie was made back to back with that second movie, but with a different director and by the looks of it a completely different team.

Sly, who had very little screentime in the second movie returns here for a more central role. He looked bored in both Escape Plan 2 and Backtrace, but here he looks like he cares.

Devon Sawa was a pleasant surprise, he actually puts in a decent performance as the main villain.

I also liked newcomer to the franchise Jin Zhang. He was a million times more interesting than the second movies Xiaoming Huang.

Overall, it’s a big improvement over that second entry. It’s still far from good, but it wasn’t a ball ache sitting through it like last years movie.

Not too bad. Some great fight scenes. Overall, worth a watch. Make sure you have English subs for the Chinese parts.
