A trip down memory lane when things were simpler, you could easily tell the good guys from the bad and there wasn't any hidden agenda being pushed by a special interest group. Hoppy and his gang do their best to keep the right righteous and put the criminals where they belong; behind bars. There are no eyecandy special effects or deep plot twists. Everything is laid out and exceptionally straight forward and that is its great attraction. I feel like I did when I was a kid watching the weekly serials every Saturday afternoon down at the local theater. If you can't stand B&W or need to have 4k graphics, you won't enjoy or understand what pleasure something simple like this can bring. For everyone else, bring the popcorn, pour some adult libations and sit back and enjoy yourself for an hour.
