Fatal Instinct 1993

From director Carl Reiner comes the noir parody film Fatal Instinct. When Max Shady is released from prison he goes after police officer/defense attorney Ned Ravine (who put him away); but unbeknownst to Shady, he has competition as Ravine’s wife and her lover are also trying to kill Ravine. Featuring Sean Young, James Remar, Sherilyn Fenn, and Christopher McDonald, the cast is pretty decent and a number of hit films are spoofed, including Basic Instinct, Fatal Attraction, Cape Fear, and Chinatown. However, the comedy is fairly broad and slapstick-ish, and lacks any real cleverness or wit. Fatal Instinct delivers a few laughs, but is a rather mediocre and forgettable film.

Solid farce filled with physical comedy. It's not laugh out loud funny, but theres definitely a good amount of chuckles along the way.

A farce about Thrillers, it's a shame that Sherilyn Fenn dedicates herself to this.
