Wow! I didn't expect this one to be good because how mediocre the first two films are, but this one absolutely delivers. Surprisingly, it stuck the landing for the trilogy really well. My main problem is it can't stand on its own and the structure in this one is like watching two films mashed together, we got 1666 filling the first hour and the rest of the film is the second part of 1994 but I appreciate the effort. Honestly I don't think the 1666 part is executed really well, could've put more effort into it but the backstory is interesting enough for me to keep watching. The second part of 1994 though, it's filled with suspense and packed with so much fun. The reveal is too predictable but I enjoy it all the same. I appreciate this one the most. I think it's a great ending to wrap it all up.
I knew that changing the setting would be divisive but I much preferred the first half to the goofy Home Alone ending.
It was good, if not a bit predictable.
I don't think investigators would just leave evidence at a crime scene like that though but WHY THE HECK WOULD THEY LEAVE THE BOOK IN THE FIRST PLACE?!
I enjoyed the trilogy. I would watch more Fear Street movies.
yeah... so... it's a ok movie there is a lot of problems like... WHY THE F*CK did you leave a cursed book that can ruins an entire city on the cave? seriously that NO ONE of the FIVE PEOPLE thought : humm.. maybe we shoul take that book and burn or secure somewhere else. yeah yeah... movie script to maybe a sequel.
I love the twist and the worldbuilding of this trilogy. Fear Street: 1666 was a satisfying ending to a surprisingly entertaining and solid trilogy. Goode was evil :))
Solid trilogy all around and a nice, edgy entry into what I would think would be “gateway horror” for a lot of young folks out there. I wish this installment was a little spookier and played a bit more with the time period but this is all about tying up those loose ends and explaining the lore. Everything pays off nicely and we finally get justice for Sarah Fier, who IMO deserved it more than Han this year.
Closed out the trilogy well enough. Just a shame it took 300+ years for Sarah to get revenge. The end of the 1666 section was so hard to watch. Had enough of women, queer women especially being trodden over for the plot.
Was a nice twist to have Sarah not be the real evil in it all and both the wlw survived! (in 1994 anyway...)
3 Thoughts After Watching ‘Fear Street: 1666’:
For the first 20 minutes of this final entry, I honestly wasn’t sure I’d be happy with the direction they were taking everything. I eventually realized how stupid I was.
I haven’t been this excited about a horror franchise in a very long time. Literally can’t remember when the last time was. So excited for more!
I truly didn’t see the entire twist coming. And it wasn’t just a twist for twist sake. It was earned. It was thought out. And everything came together beautifully.
Bonus Thought: Great cast! Great characters! Great music!
I don't know why but I really disliked most of the story part that was told in 1666. It might be the time period itself, or all the mysogyny and witch hunting that's going on (which is needed to have a pay off and explain the lore, etc but well). I really liked the second half(?) of the movie though. It's a nice closure to the trilogy and all in all I'm happy how it turned out. Would recommend.
Well fear street has come to an end and all mysteries have been answered and I’ve loved every minute of it and part 3 is by far my favourite and great job from all the cast involved, definitely a fun watch. I’d happily welcome more parts XD
I enjoyed the trilogy, the second was my favourite and the first half of the 3rd film.
It had its ups and downs, but overall enjoyable to watch.
Certainly something different to have a story in 3 films, which were released about a month apart. I also enjoyed that they had a twist which wasn’t revealed until almost half way through the finale.
My main gripe is the parts in modern day, didn’t match up to standards with the rest, it was more childish and satire and I wasn’t sure if they remembered who the target audience was. I felt like I was watching something completely different and not connected to the rest.
Overall, I’d still recommend watching.
My ratings for each of the trilogy:
1) 1994 - 7
2) 1978 - 8
3) 1966 - 1st half 8 - 2nd half 7
[Netflix] The trilogy tribute to the slasher closes with a political reformulation that establishes the basis of current terror in the oppression of the past. In this sense, 1666 manages to get rid of simple imitation to establish its own path. With some flaws (those accents!), the connection between 1666 and 1994 leaves 1978 isolated, inconsistent. But it's possibly the coolest proposal in the horror genre this year.
The 1666 portion should of been like 15 minutes long. Grueling first half. The rest is fine if you liked the others
Fear Street Part Three: 1666 continues in the same vein of the previous movies with a decent plot and lots of gore churned into an enjoyable thriller. Imagining the same actors in past characters was a good choice instead of introducing new ones, created a leeway for the movie to ignore establishing characters and jump right into the plot without making it uninteresting. The big payoff in the end is satisfying enough after spending three movies to earn it.
The final installment of Leigh Janiak's Fear Street trilogy, Fear Street Part Three: 1666, faced the challenge of ending the series on a high note while tying together all the story threads from the previous two movies. Set in the year 1666, the film leans into the slower-paced, atmospheric style of folk horror, but with less pop culture references than the earlier installments. The main cast, Madeira, Welch, and Flores Jr., returns but with unconvincing Irish accents. The film begins with a slower pace, but delivers some distressing and effective scenes before an unconventional twist in the middle. However, the historical setting feels inauthentic and struggles to transport the viewer to the past. As the story reaches its climax, it becomes overly convoluted, with too many characters and events. While the trilogy's synergy and connectivity is commendable, the final film feels bloated and loses its momentum. Fans of the first two movies may appreciate the resolution of the various plot points, but taken on its own, it is uneven and not entirely satisfying.
The first half was weak when it was set in 1666, but the rest was entertaining.
Although, the Fear Street would've been perfect for a Halloween release date.
Weakest of the series. I would say skip the first 40-50 minutes and your experience would be far better.
A good series, and I enjoyed them all well enough. But it probably would have been a lot better had I been able to see what was happening through about half of it.
So many scenes of dark figures running through the dark. A little extra lighting would have gone a long way to making what was happening actually visible.
so the first one was a modern horror slasher, the second one tried to be a oldschoold horror slasher and the third one seems to be more about story. for me this trilogy would have been better as a tv show because its more about the story, than the actual horror. i really hoped the third one would be a creepy-horror movie because of the whole witch-theme. there was a brief moment, where sarah frier was about to become a witch and kill everyone but it didnt happend. that was sad. but unlike other horror movies the ending was really cool, i didnt expect that at all and it made sense too. so of course if you watched the third one, you watched the other ones too - but as a stand alone movie it was way too less horror. anyway awesome trilogy, thanks for that!
Makes you wonder if it was the men that practice witchery during the witch-hunt
Felt like 1994 was repeating 1666 in some aspect but well...history tends to repeat
The 1666 is pretty dark and humorless. With the second half more fun. I saw it coming that Solomon was bad though. Without realizing he was Nick’s ancestor.
It would have been nice if Nick was actually good. Since I shipped him and Berman, I never actually thought that he may be bad.
You can also think of the 3 Fear Street movies as a 6 episode limited series.
1994 - is basically an homage to the movie Scream and starts asking all sorts of questions that are answered in the 2 follow-up movies.
1978 - is essentially an homage to Friday The 13th and is a proper slasher film.
1666 - answers all the questions we had and some we didn't even think about.
In other words, the story we thought we were watching in 1994 and 1978 suddenly takes a turn and 1666 gives us a whole new story. In hindsight, the clues were there.
How I rate:
1-3  = seriously! don't waste your time
4-6  = you may or may not enjoy this
7-8  = I expect you will like this too
9-10  = movies and TV shows I really love!
Fear Street Part 3 gives a satisfying end to
R.L Stine's adaptation. Barring the first edition, part 2 and part 3 have more substance, good Performances, decent horror scenes, and intriguing tension build-up which makes for up for a convincing horror trilogy. The use of historic elements of witch craft gives this an ancient touch. With a satisfying climax, and engaging screenplay this slasher trilogy definitely ends on a high.

I must say i liked this trilogy. I dont know what it is. Becuase i laugh alot at how silly it is sometimes. But same time chocked that it was so detailed. I think mostly for the characthers. Anyway I liked it.
These Movies are super Frickin awesome amazing and so well done and the time periods they chose were spot-on and so clever and sets these movies apart from anything else out there.
God please make more stories
and time periods within the Fear Street
Universe because these movies deserve
love and to be appreciated along with everyone
involved for effort and the
thought that's gone into making
this super clever and super interesting
and super entertaining Horror universe.
What a Phenomenal set of movies
and I hope this is not the last we
spend time with the
Fear Street Lore throughout the
time periods.
I would love to see this franchise
become like an Anthology series
of movies similar to
The
"American Horror Story"
franchise.

X FINAL THOUGHT:
I have been truly entertained with this trilogy and once again Netflix knocked it out the ball park. Please please please I hope they do another round of these
Fear Streets because they are
so unique and cool
and a complete joy to watch.
(I Love Them 3000).
10/10 for maximum effort
and for being some of the
best damn Horror movies out their.
This Trilogy has been
perfect for my
31 days of Horror.
(this is how you do it
and how you do it right).
Too woke, lesb romance, ruin the whole series, the main actress, terrible, again go woke go broke
All in all, it was a satisfying conclusion to the trilogy.
im reaĺly not big on this one. i like the reveals and twists, but i dont care at all for the stuff set in 1666. when we're back in 94 its better, but i still dont love most of it. martins fun and i like the tease of the book being taken. theres fun parts of this, but i dont enjoy it as much as the other two.
Nice twist at the end, tying up the trilogy nicely. Shame about the godawful Irish(?) accents.
Didn‘t finish this movie.
Lost any interest in any of the characters.
This movie takes forever to get nowhere. And some of their big reveals were predictable from the very start. I have found litterally no redeeming aspects of this film. I wasn't a massive fan of the first two but I thought the setting, the year 1666, might at least be an interesting time period but no.
Didn't really care for it
most important notes:
a strong end to a charming trilogy. i grew up reading everything rl stine and as much as i love watching other horror novels brought to life there's something especially charming and nostalgic about stine's work. this trilogy paid homage to the books, to popular film franchises, and to gen z teen films. there were weak points for sure, but overall? this was undeniably entertaining and memorable.
the end is a little illogical, but hey—it's shadyside, remember? it's always going to need a little bit of haunting. and really, it's nothing in the grand scheme of horror loopholes.
i also take back some of my criticisms of the first movie's leads and their acting skills; most of them brought decent accents to the 1666 scenes and played out the satanic panic excellently. tbh i think i just have an inexplicable dislike for how madeira's mouth moves in emotional scenes.
First one was great and downhill after that. Seemed to drag on too long especially the 3rd movie.
Deena does a great Marlon Brando impression
Fun series overall. They should have gone out with a bang rather than a whimper.

A satisfying end to what has been a pretty good horror trilogy. Sure, it played out like an extended episode of Scooby Doo but thanks to the creative talents behind the movie, this didn’t hurt it at all.
