First Man into Space 1959

A nothing-too-special movie about a man shot into space who comes back as a new man (kind of). This is a pretty typical '50s sci-fi flick with a lot of talking and very little action. Although, there is some nice direction and a few ominous shots of the deformed astronaut stalking his victims. The astronaut was nearly a "separated at birth" with the Incredible Melting Man or even more like the Luminoids from the old Outer Limits episode called "A Feasibility Study".

I don't think I check out old sci-fi that much but this is not too bad for a low budget creature film. It does feel longer than the actual runtime. The first act was too jumpy, the second act was too talky, but I liked the unexpected ending. It's unrealistic that Charles Prescott character knows everything. That fake Spanish still bothers me.
