I may be in the minority here but I came to this documentary AFTER adopting a plant-based diet. How grateful am I that I already had!?!
Horrifyingly eye-opening about the damage that so much refinement in food is doing to us all (here in the Western world at least) and the evidence of how destructive so much animal product can do.
I'd have liked some discussion of where fish fits in to a plant-BASED (this is key, plant-ONLY is not what is being advocated but seems to be how it is interpreted) diet.
On the whole though, it's an essential viewing for everyone living a Western diet. The sooner you get woke, the better!
I had heard about this documentary for years and recently decided to give it a look after hearing it mentioned again on a sports talk show. I know that veganism is a growing trend in pro sports because of the performance boost that the athletes get and I had been considering moving to that kind of diet myself.
I think the best part of the documentary is that it isn't preachy and it doesn't come at you from a moral standpoint. At its core are two elements: statistics and the science behind the statistics. Once you see this documentary you can't un-see the damage that we are doing to ourselves. An no, it isn't an opinion piece - scientists have a hundred years of data to back them up. I had already made the decision to go plant-based and about fifteen minutes in to the documentary my wife decided to join me. It's been amazing and I can't imagine going back. The difference in how I feel and how I look (my stomach disappeared!) is incredible.
The movie is free on Netflix and on Youtube. If you want a deeper personal dive into someone in poor health going on the plant-based diet I recommend Unsupersize Me.

"One quarter of what you eat keeps you alive. The other three-quarters keeps your doctor alive."
Many studies show different things but I think we can all agree on one thing: processed foods are the devil. Stay away and always try to eat the best quality of whatever you want to eat.

This is an amazing movie. Everyone should watch it. Why? Because it tells us we're so damn wrong.
Animal based diets will eventually disappear as people will realise they're not sustainable anymore.
It is extremely important the scientific material in the footage as it was made in a science-only point of view. There's no random guy telling you to go vegan because of the animals (which as a vegan myself, I find it enough argument though) they're giving you proofs of every single word they say.
If you're vegan (or in process) you should watch this movie, it will give even more reasons to go vegan and feel great about it.
But, if you're not a vegan, you should definitely watch this documentary as it will show you lots of things you don't know which may change your live.
I understand changing something as basic as what you eat is very difficult, and acknowledging our mistakes is even harder but you should try to be open-minded when your about to watch this documentary because, if you're not, it will be useless.
I really hope you enajoy this documentary as it should be, as a piece of valuable information for every single human out there.
