Friendship's Death 1987

[AtlàntidaFF, 4K] A restored rarity that is both seductive and irregular. Reflection on man's capacity for self-destruction, with some simplistic dialogues, turns a hotel room cornered by the civil war in Jordan into a metaphor for the future of humanity. A colorful cinematography is recovered in a closed space in which the relationship between the robot and the human is fed by the good performings of Tilda Swinton and Bill Paterson.

Great dialogue and wonderfully performed by both leads. Worth a viewing.

This could’ve been more successful had the conversation stayed existential instead of veering into social commentary.

Friendship: “I dream of impossible objects.”
