The X-Men are hated, feared and despised collectively by humanity for no other reason than that they are mutants. So what we have here, intended or not, is a book that is about racism, bigotry and prejudice.
The documentary begins with that significant quote from the best X-Men writer Chris Claremont, tells the development of X-Men comics chronologically since the very beginning, and each era is told by their own writers and artists like Len Wein, Dave Cockrum, Louise Simonson, Jim Lee, Fabian Nicieza, Scott Lobdell and Kubert brothers. It was quite a nice experience to watch this. I'd recommend it to all X-Men comic books fans.
