Purists might disagree, but for me, this is one of the best adaptations of the life of Jesus on film. Sure, it's set in modern day (seventies) New York, but the life and love of Jesus is wonderfully represented through music and song.
When you feel sad or under a curse, and your life is bad, with prospects that are worse, then I thorougly recommend this beautiful film. May the light of Jesus radiate within you :)

Godspell was an extremely good movie. The music was excellent and the cast was strong. Totally captures the essence of the 70's!
