Grimcutty 2022

Truly bad from beginning to end! It was so rushed in the beginning and doesn't set any atmosphere whatsoever. They just throw you the story and a lot of people are just going to drop it instead of catching it. The idea had potencial but it's told in a really bad way it needed better directing and storytelling. The Grimcutty looked cool and creepy at first but after exposing him more than 6 times in the first 20 mins I was over it and it became a comedy... which leads me to wonder if this would of been better as a comedy horror I mean the Grimcutty does have a funny appearance so it could of worked. Instead it tries to be scary but it doesn't work whatsoever.

As bad as it all was I somewhat enjoyed the sillyness of this movie and the Grimcutty himself is kinda cool and funny which makes it slightly entertaining.

Note to self: never listen to ASMR again.

This one looks like a movie made by boomers who don't understand how the Internet works.

It’s hilariously bad. The ASMR is the scariest part. Is it so bad it’s good? Hm probably not. Watch if you want but maybe put it on in the background while you do something else.

How did this even get made? With a terrible script and leaden direction, this is the kind of movie that will make you wish you had given up on screen time. Grim indeed!

There are actual parenting lessons to learn in this movie: how wanting the best for your kid(s) leads to rigidity and stubbornness, an unwillingness to listen and be open. How it leads to irrational, unreasonable reactions and decisions, which escalates into a certain paranoia, and that eventually leads to a hysteria that destroys lives - either in a figurative or a literal way, because both can and do happen. In a way, it's great that someone tried to make that a point and thread a story through all of it.

In another way, it's just so transparent as a framework, so much on the surface - because whatever would actually carry it falls apart from a single breath it's so bad. The script, directing, acting, CGI, even the "plot" such as it is are all just annoyingly bad. So as a movie, there's basically nothing here to enjoy - or even to be spooked by, because... yeah. The Big Bad Thing:tm: looks silly as a character, and at least a decade old and low budget in quality, and that's beyond how overused and exposed it is through the whole thing.

It's frustrating and unfortunate.

Sometimes a shitty movie comes and we have to waist our time watching it.
Grimcutty is not shitty it's even worse.
Bad acting, script, story ... I haven't seen a movie this bad in years.
Don't watch it.

Terrible. From start to finish. Terrible. Copypasta rip-off with just boring plot. Also, I hate ASMR whispering and that’s an unfortunate part of this, too. So avoid if that makes you nauseated.

The primary concept of the film in my opinion has a good potential. However, it seemed to me that everyone involved in the making of this movie either failed to do their homework or were just plainly unskilled for the job. From the directing, writing, down to the acting itself, one can perceive that there was no art, no passion, no desire for excellence, or at least competence, was brought forth by both crew and cast.

Truly an awful film on pretty much every level. This bland and laughably bad psychological/creepypasta horror is sometimes cringy and mostly nonsensical. The concept could have been interesting if it were handled better but this was painful to sit through. It fails on every conceivable level, from the writing to the direction is so cringe worthy I almost couldn’t finish it. It starts off quite promising though, unfortunately any chance of being interesting goes out the window due to poor direction, incoherent story, horrendous dialogue, cringy teenagers and parents. This one feels like one of those Hulu's Into the Dark episodes which consistently suck ass. Avoid this at all costs but I'm curious to see better filmmakers to handle this concept.

Not a good movie at all and felt obligated to post here that it had an emphasis on ASMR so if that annoys you should stay away from this movie

This movie was a pleasure surprise. I thought it was gonna be one of this bs movies, but it was surprisingly good. The plot is very simple, but the way the story was portrayed is good.

Give it a try. A sequel was hinted, and I hope they'll realize it.

Like attending a seminary in Ohio, get ready for bad preaching that's boring as hell.

An urban legend that only exists because parents believe it? And after that, the script idoesn't even follow its own rules? Plus, no one even has the decency to die? WTF?

This feels like a Christian video directed at tweens, tbh. I swear to God, PG-13 horror is an oxymoron.

Die, Asha, die!!Horrible, boring movie, I couldn't wait for Asha to die, especially when she did that annoying, forced self-control voice. Unbearable movie!

After being recommended to me on social media for my 31 days of Horror,
Thought I'd check this new comer out.
First I found this movie very preachy, I'm here for a good time not to be Lectured at of the Evils of technology and online life, which for some of us is our greatest weapon against loneliness (which is a killer). The parents were off their heads and pissed me off 90% of the movie,
That douchebag dad 98% of the movie.
That being said I loved the main lead girl Asha, she was awesome and if not for her I would have swapped movies half way through, definitely the star and carried the hole damn movie. The brother was cool enough and the
Grimcutty looked awesome and creepy as Hella.
Cool story with an interesting twist and a ending worth my time,
Didn't appreciate the whispering, that was just annoying nonsense but
as annoying as it was it was from that awesome lead actress so..
.....free pass.
Ironically the Adults acting was complete shit and way over the top and annoying,
But the teens/kids
Killed it with their
acting which was
actually really good.

Watched this to see the Gibi cameo (yeah, I’m a fan, got the coaster), and was a little disappointed ASMR wasn’t a larger part of the story -- to be a Chekov’s gun for the denouement -- which fell a bit flat anyway. Follows the image reposting meme like far too many other teen horrors now, making it feel entirely unoriginal. It improves in the latter third but from such a low point that I cannot recommend watching it :\

The only thing scary about this movie were the ASMR scenes. Oh, and the acting.

This was possibly one of the worst movies I've seen for a long time, let alone the worst horror. A complete commercialisation of the "elevated horror" genre with such a blunt, straightforward message and one of the worst creature/monsters in horror history. The films heart is in the right place and had the potential to be a compelling message-driven-horror, but everything outside said message feels like an afterthought; a mishmash of terrible acting, set work and story delivery. To add insult to injury, the outro sums up everything this movie is trying to say in a minute long, Hallmark-movie-style monologue, for all those that somehow missed it in the overtly straight forward plot. What a terrible movie, might only be worth a comedy watch for those that love to hate-watch bad horrors. A waste of a slot in my October watch challenge.
