Perfect way to start 2022!
This feels like watching my childhood flash by before my eyes! It is so special to return to Hogwarts with this cast.
I cried, I laughed but most importantly I smiled all the way through
After all this time?
— Always.
Pretty good. I just wish they mentioned the soundtrack to the films.
I'm writing this while having tears in my eyes
watching this brought soooo much emotions and nostalgia
I remember watching all the Harry Potter films in cinema, with the first 2 being with my father and the rest with my friends
I can NOT express how much this story and these films means to me
I literally grew up with Harry Potter and these actors
and few months ago me and my friends actually re-watched all The Harry Potter films without knowing this reunion thing is happening
that shows how much I love these films and will forever go back to them
Harry Potter gave me a very precious thing
it gave me Very Very Happy Memories!
Thank you to everyone who's involved
Disgraceful way to treat Jo Rowling. Overall a neat special but very by the numbers. I expected a lot more cast.
Harry Potter movies was very important while I was growing up, now seeing them all together after long time. It was simply superb, thanks for making this.
Being a massive Harry Potter fan I knew that I was going to love this, there was just absolutely no way that I couldn't and I was right. It was so great seeing all of the actors and actresses reuniting with each other and sharing their own personal experience of the 10 years they spent filming Harry Potter.
There was even parts that made me emotional and this story, both the books and movies, is such a massive part of my life and I genuinely don't know what I'd do without this as my comfort for when I'm having a bad day so it was great getting to revisit that world with the cast that I grew up seeing on my screen.
I just absolutely loved this.
I loved seeing and hearing their stories of how they grew up with the working of all the movies. Very beautiful way also to do a tribute to those who aren’t here on earth anymore. I fell a couple tears but also laughed
when the credits rolled, i was left with tears. a beautiful special
i cried. this was the perfect way to start a new year... i have mixed feelings right now
Crying 10 minutes in and all throughout. I loved this so much and brings back all the feelings I had when reading the books and watching the movies.
Better than the Fantastic Beasts movies. I wish it was longer and had more of the cast but still was a great nostalgia rush. Can't wait for the inevitable Cursed Child movie.
This was so lovely! :sob:
I don’t even have words to describe this, it was amazing and brought joy and tears. I loved every second of it.
Good trip down nostalgia lane. Great to see the sets at Watford again and a lot of behind the scenes stories that we hadn't heard. I never knew Emma came so close to quitting the series! The series wouldn't be the same without her!
They should have invited more actors and introduced more to the production team that participated in the films.
This was a great way to start the new year. It was interesting to hear some of the experiences of the cast from different movies. I liked how they all seemed to just pick up where they might have left off, and the end was close to make me teary eyed.
If you're a Potter-head, you don't want to miss this!
Boooo! The movies suck, then books rule! Fell asleep during two of the movies and gave up. I blame the terrible actors in the films. I stand by my comment.
This was everything I wanted. Not the biggest Harry Potter film fan but I had a massive smile on my face. Sure, there could have been more time with the actors outside the big 3, but they're the main event, and 90 minutes with such a star studded cast of actors is a tough ask. I appreciate the extra time with Oldman, Fiennes and Bonham Carter.
I appreciate they spent time going through the 8 films. The In Memoriam section got me more than I thought it would. No reference to a return in a Cursed Child film though.
Rating: 76 / 100
Loved it to bits! Everyone crushed it.
I was really hoping to see Michael Gambon (Dumbledore) in this 20th anniversary :( Still, this was an amazing trip on the memory lane.
This brought back great memories from my childhood. From the day I received my first book as a birthday present, to eagerly waiting for each following book to come out, to reading them all dozens of times, to growing up along the movies, which have become a tradition to watch around the Christmas holidays.
It was sad to hear of so many actors who passed in the years since the films were done but also amazing seeing the actors come together after so many years for one of the best series of books and films. Overall, this was a great start to the new year for sure!
Amazing to see most of the cast back and really heartwarming to see them reminisce fondly about the movies that are a massive part of peoples lives
harry potter producers and actors: we don't support what jk rowling's been so outspoken about
them in the reunion: and that's why jo, you know my good pal jojo, is such a genius
So endearing to watch, a right trip down memorylane
Watching It Was Fun For Us Who Grow Up With Harry Potter; Full Of Memories and Emotions. But It Could Be Better Than Just Talking.
What an emotional watch. Hearing these stories and seeing these reunions were incredibly touching. It really reminded me of the effect these books and films had on my life. Absolutely immense and, of course, extraordinarily-magical.
Just perfect, with an air of nostalgia and interesting revelations, an example is that Emma says that the kissing scene in Movie 8 was horrifying. Anyway excellent documentary!
Damn, that was moving! Having grown up with the Potter films (and books), this really tugged on the heartstrings.
Especially when the names of the deceased cast and crew appeared on screen
lots of memories, many feels
I loved this SO MUCH.
It is endearing, they remember those who left, curiously, the writer is there, they are statements of 2019
LOL, did anyone else notice they made sure to put in big bold numbers what year the J.K. Rollin parts had been filmed, to be extra careful like: "Don't worry guys, this was all filmed way before she became outspoken about "you know what", but it's okay because we didn't know back then !"
It was beautiful to watch, but i would have liked a little more cast. I know that agendas don't usually match, but it was kinda weird that Rowling itself was some footage from 3 years ago. Or that many central characters (like Molly, Remus, Tonks, Dumbledore) didn't participate in this. Even that, it was awesome to see them all, together once again
Couldn't stop crying while watching this. I think I need to watch the movies all over again!
It was very interesting, nice and emotional. But, first, I think they have compressed too much all of the complexity and the facets of the saga (pre-production, production, the professionals that were behind, etc.), and second (and related) they totally diminished the importance of J. K. Rowling, who is the AUTHOR (because of an opinion she gave I happen to agree with).
I Remember Watching Every Harry Potter Movie In The Theater Starting In 2001 Harry Potter & The Philosopher's Stone In Santa Barbara California To Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows Part 2 In London's Odeon Leicester Square - 10 Years Of Harry Potter And Loved Each And Every One Of Them - It Felt Really Emotional To See The Three Of Them Together Again Harry, Hermoine, and Ron - Specially When You Hear The Theme Music Of Harry Potter You Get That Tingling Feeling
There Is Something About Harry Potter That Makes Life Richer - The Stories Give You Places You Can Go And Relate To - You Genuinely Feel Like You Belong To The World Of Harry Potter - You Grew Up Watching Them Grow Up And Being A Part Of Their World - These Movies Were An Epic Journey And Truly Magic
For Any Harry Potter Fan Harry Potter 20th Anniversary Return To Hogwarts Should Not Be Missed - Might Watch All Eight Movies Again
Another reunión that felt incomplete. That they couldn't reunite more than three people is like... really! Many scenes and comments we already watched in previous bonus from the movies. J.K. Rowling being banned was outrageous. Good for melancholy. Nice editing.
I can never get enough of Harry Potter and I absolutely loved watching this although she’d some tears for all the great actors we lost along the way.
Always
i grew up with those movies and they helped me a lot... thank you so much
Exciting, full of surprises and what a gorgeous chemistry between all of the 3 main characters to watch. 9/10 reunion, so enjoyable
Seems like only yesterday But I digress. This is a lovely retrospective Doc wherein a lot of the cast get together for a nice cozy heartfelt reunion Even brought out some feels
Nostalgic, moving and sweet. Hits even harder after a Harry Potter binge. Pretty good documentary/interview/making of of all eight movies with the actors. It's a shame we didn't get an interview from everyone but it focuses on the main characters. Lots of info and memories that are worth knowing if you're a fan of the franchise. Maybe a few out of place bits of conversations that could have been edited out here and there. Definitely emotional in the last third and a great way to commemorate the actors who aren't with us anymore. Perfect last line from Robbie Coltrane.
89 | Just like any other documentary Harry Potter 20th Anniversary - Return to Hogwarts gave us another side of the world that we knew before. What made this film meaningful for some of us is the memories that this film documentary brought. We learned a lot of things from behind the scenes of the film franchise that we loved. How they tried as best they can to portray a magical world that only exist in books before.
This film is not for everyone, but surely for Potterhead. Some of us grew up reading Harry Potter from books, some of us grew up watching Harry Potter in films and some of us grew up reading and watching Harry Potter. Knowing someone who portrayed the characters gave some sort of odd, warmth, and nostalgic feeling. We know them as Harry, Ron, and Hermione, in this documentary we know them as Dan, Rupes, and Emma.
They only just talked and had small dialogue but it was somehow enjoyable to watch. It was just like we sitting with them chit-chatting about sweet old memories. This is also the reason why the documentary is such an underrated genre. Because it felt real, it is in our world, it is real. It also makes us wonder about the thin line between fiction and reality. What made it different and similar at the same.
Robbie Coltrane had the sweetest closing statement for us in this documentary. The film is a medium that stayed with us forever. The person behind the characters going to die someday but the characters, the story, and the films will always be live on through generations.

A few good moments but felt dragged out. Would have been a good one hour special.
Watching Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return to Hogwarts tonight and gonna admit I teared up a bit, Harry Potter books where a huge part of my childhood, and I remember when I first heard about the movies when I was a kid and was in awe watching the books come to life.
I still adore a lot of the actors that played the characters, Evanna Lynch, Emma Watson, Rupert, Dan, the list goes on.
I just loved so many of them, Evanna Lynch's Luna was amazing because she just seemed more relatable in some ways.

Much like many other people, I don't ever think I'll ever be able to express how much Harry Potter means to me. This was a great reunion and it felt like a return to childhood :,)
