The typical fight between good and evil and, of course, with abundant apocalyptic destruction
When I first saw the PV for this I was sceptical on how good it would be but once I learned it would be an alternate adaptation of Dazai's No Longer Human I was both more interested in the film but also even more worried. Honestly I was surprised how good this was and how close it kept to the core concepts of Dazai's original book. It was interesting to see the story of No Longer Human in this setting.

I feel like this movie should have gotten an anime instead, maybe eight 45 minute episodes or 2 hours for each of the three books. There was just too much story and character development to pack into 110 minutes.
On a more positive note: I'll be checking out Osamu Dazai's novel after watching this movie, just to see what could have been.
