This movie was certainly interesting… I watched it partially just because it has such a unique representation of Onomichi, which is one of my favorite places in Japan. However I think that this film was difficult to watch simply because there were so many different aspects of it that were very exist. Obviously the time period in which this movie was made contributes a large part to that, but that doesn’t mean it’s any less difficult to watch. In truth, I think that films like this that do body switch concepts, are typically limited to very strict gender binary‘s which is not necessarily the most interesting thing to watch in the year 2022. One last thing though: I must say that I did think the cinematography was excellent in this film... there were countless great angles and shots.
