An independent documentary film about the phenomenal resurgence of the modular synthesizer — exploring the passions, obsessions and dreams of people who have dedicated part of their lives to this esoteric electronic music machine. Inventors, musicians, and enthusiasts are interviewed about their relationship with the modular synthesizer — for many, it's an all-consuming passion.

This is a documentary about hardware synthesizers. The modular synthesizers, to be more precise. It's a thing of the past, yet a bourgeoning movement. Musicians are interviewed and people enthralled, as we're led through the ages of Buchla (who is alive) and Moog (who is dead) and their legacies. Too bad this film did not come with a bigger budget, so that we would actually hear what was made throughout the ages.
