Tilly and Matheson are great in it, but it's way too slow for an epidemic movie like this. A few interesting character things going on, but they're kind of glossed over and wasted. It's a decent movie, but nothing to rush out for.
Watched this as a kid and loved it, probably because of the Stephen King small town vibe. It doesn't hold up today - could have been so much better - but still worth a watch if you're into 80's curios.
