Interview with the Vampire 1994

Interview with the Vampire is a terrific film that is just beautifully directed and the actors are just so brilliantly charismatic, it's just impossible in some ways for someone not to enjoy this movie. I know my friends who are not into horror films ended up loving this one because of it's interesting story. It's just a great film that I think everyone should get the chance to see.

Brad Pitt, Tom Cruise and Kirsten Dunst as one big vampire family. What more could you ask for? It's funny and silly and ridiculous but also entertaining.

Had I not seen it, I would never believe Tom Cruise makes a good vampire but he actually makes a legendary one. I suggest more vampire roles and fewer human ones!

Omg. This movie makes me feel young again. 2nd time to watch this after 20 years. Still awesome. Love Brad Pit, Tom Cruise and Kirsten Dunst.

Watching this movie more than twenty years after its release when vampires have become mainstream-culture material like never before takes a bit of fun out of it because you know, it’s nothing I haven’t already seen like a hundred times! However, true to my generation, I’m a sucker for vampires (no pun intended) and just can’t get enough of them ... plus Brad Pitt, Tom Cruise and young Kirsten Dunst were awesome and pretty convincing in their roles!

Not nearly as good as the TV show adaptation, but I still had a good time.

I came for Vampires, stayed for the homoeroticism between Tom Cruise and Brat Pitt and was completely surprised by Kirsten Dunst's performance.
I mean, she's 11 in the film and doesn't have to hide behind the other leads at all.
All in all, I would say you should have seen it, because otherwise you might not quite believe it.
But after watching I still can't believe that a film that basically tells the story of a homosexual couple raising their lesbian adopted daughter was released in 1994 and we still have a difficult legal situation for such a situation in some parts of the world today.

For those of us old enough to remember, when it was announced Tom Cruise was going to be a vampire we all thought it ridiculous. Boy were we wrong!

One of the most enjoyable adaptations of the vampire universe, to which the years has only improved. It achieves the balance between terror and black humor, especially in the Grand Guignol of the last act, and almost poetically reflects the contradictions of its protagonist, the vampire who does not want to be a vampire, and the confusion about his own identity, with actors generously given to an LGBT party.

From the comments it seems I am the only one that thought this was terrible. I couldn't even finish it. It hops from one nonsensical scene to the next and doesn't actually tell the story well...which is a pretty silly detail to mess up when the movie is actually a narration. I'd give it a zero but both Cruise and Pitt looked delicious in this so I had to be a little bit generous. All in all my advice to anyone thinking of watching it is, your time is better spent building a time machine to go back in time and rip the screenplay to shreds before anyone makes this atrocity of a movie.

The beginning is boring, the story doesn't seem to be truly exciting, but as the story unfolds, everything starts to get more enjoyable. Tom Cruise's character is magnificent, he gives a touch of softness and humor indispensable to the story. When Louis, Lestat and Claudia come together as a family, the film really begins to be good for me, with its journeys and lives as a family. The end pleased me a lot. It's worth watching.

Anne Rice delivers a fascinating new depiction of vampires in Interview with the Vampire: The Vampire Chronicles. A reporter gets the story of a lifetime when a vampire confides to him his life’s story. The cast is stellar, and includes Brad Pitt, Tom Cruise, Kirsten Dunst, and Antonio Banderas, who all give excellent performances. Additionally, the sets and costumes are especial well done and help to create a surrealist atmosphere. The score is also brilliantly done, and does an exceptional job at enhancing the mood and themes of the film. Interview with the Vampire: The Vampire Chronicles is a seductive and visionary film with a captivating tale.

It is an interesting film, which tells a curious story and focuses mainly on the relationships between vampires, while the protagonist seeks to discover his own identity in immortal life. I personally wish there was more emphasis on historical events rather than drama, but I still think it's a good film. There are somewhat strange and disconnected moments in the plot, but it still has its appeal and is worth checking out.

This film is so pretentious and overwrought that it's nearly unbearable. If not for the fine cast, this would've been a three- or four-star rating.

The name of this movie was always "Interview With A Vampire" another Mandela Effect call it a glitch or time travel residue but another one bites the dust, go google it and see the search suggestions are "The" not "A"

I'm really struggling to see why this movie is held in such high regard. It seemingly has no idea if it wants to be camp, serious, Shakespearian or comedic, sometimes even switching genres between line deliveries in the same scene. I was surprised how much I disliked this, considering the sales pitch was "Brad Pitt and Tom Cruise with young Kirsten Dunst in a period vampire movie, supported by Antonio Bandera AND Thandie Newton?!". It's laughably bad, and I struggled to see it through to the end. I'd say my only positive takeaway was the vampire makeup and set work were pretty amazing, even if the teeth looked too big for the actors heads everytime they were shown. Awful movie, I guess the brute starpower on show is the only thing keeping it relevant and revered.

Good movie WITH REALLY HOT REDHEAD TOM CRUISE..... But I still couldn't help but be REALLY weirded out by Louis' relationship with Claudia (the child)... I mean what the hell was that about. And so many scenes were gay as hell (homoerotic):joy: confused me, I couldn't tell wth was going on. Also trigger warning for child kissing grown man.

THATS TOM CRUISE?????? I DONT BELIEVE IT

The last two minutes of this elevate it significantly from like kinda cool but a bit meandering, and make it all worth it. I love how clear it is that the teeth were really uncomfortable
