Most boring first half hour of a movie i've ever seen. That was all I could stand.
This movie pissed me off highly all she did was waste time and make me angry.
Could have been a decent short film, but too slow and predictable for a full length movie. Boring.
Total waste of time. Does not worth mentioning here.
It's almost painful to watch the movie because the lead actress is soooooooooooooo bad. I made it all the way through the movie surprisingly. I dunno how she survived alone as long as she did being so clearly dumb. I've debated making a second account just so i could give this a rating of 1 again lol. Soo bad!
Oh please. It wasn't that bad. Not every science fiction movie has to be a bang bang shooty shoot fest. For an apocalyptic movie it was strangely relaxing and had a strange degree of comfiness to it. And it ended on a positive note. I'd recommend it if you like science fiction but are also in the mood to watch something easygoing.
Another jump on the climate hystery bandwagon piece of rubbish. Pseudo science with a dull and boring story.
Getting my eye-rolling exercise in tonight. The opening narration wasn't a good sign, and nothing helped improve it. I swear the message said the ships we're leacing in four days, and there's near zero effort to get moving.
I'm more motivated when I'm taking a train that i know will be along an hour later.
O is Netflix's latest low-budget sci-fi film directed by Jonathan Helpert. It follows the story of Margaret Qualley and Anthony Mackie as the last remaining people on Earth, ravaged by human neglect and Mother Nature. Everyone else has fled to IO, the largest of Jupiter's moons, to rebuild civilization. Qualley plays Sam, who stays behind to conduct tests to find a resolution to Earth's problem. Despite an intriguing premise, the movie unfolds at a slow pace and doesn't offer much to engage the audience. The plot lacks depth and the characters are not fully developed. The performances of the lead actors are decent, but not particularly convincing. The cinematography and score are the highlights of the film. However, the overall mood of the film is gloomy and the ending is unsatisfying. IO is a disappointingly average effort from Netflix, that does not fully realize its potential.
Very slow and boring. I appreciate what they tried to do, but it didn’t execute very well. I think it suffered from bad casting. I love Anthony Mackie, and Margaret was great in Maid but I don’t think they had any on screen chemistry.
Made the mistake of looking at a few comments before checking in…oh well, here goes nothing
Don't believe the trailer. The trailer is a lie: that's not at all what happens in the movie. And don't watch it.
one of the worst movie I ever watched
Who are we making fun of?
You know this is Netflix so expect something... Well nothing came.
Seriously, too slow, predictable, poor acting, empty story, only good scenery that's why the movie got 3.
I really wasted my time with this movie.
I love this type of movie-- in theory. Give it a watch if you want to form your own opinion but I have to agree with everyone else. Sorry, Anthony Mackie, but this movie was reeeeally difficult to watch.
after half an hour it becomes predictable til the end.
Harlequin Romance: We have this idea for a period piece romance about a couple living on a hill hesitating over going to the New World.
Netflix: Sorry, historical love stories are scoring poorly.
Harlequin Romance: We could change 'New World' to 'a moon of Jupiter'?
Netflix: We'll label it science fiction! Sold!
It was kind of good and i really like the main character acting i think it was a interesting character
The ending was dumb and it sucked, i feel like it would be good film if they actually did stuff rather than just talked about doing it
It was so boring and I found the main character infuriating! Wish I didn’t bother lol
I just wasted an hour of my life by watching two people do mundane things during an apocalypse.
Yes, it does not have a deep and interesting character progression. Yes, it fails some (many?) scientific explanations.
Never-the-less, it's a great drama with a heartbreaking message.
It bears strong resemblance to the movie Dunkirk.
The only problem with it is its story. It's really boring. Everything else is at least "good". I know I only kept watching it for Margaret...
The world is inhabitable and we are about to die but let's talk poetry, mythology and go see an exhibition at a museum.
The film has 4 actors and 4 shooting locations, and most of the time they spend is on one. Make your own conclusions
Awful.
I watched this because I wanted to see scenes of the abandoned/empty world left behind wish they would have showed much more of that. I'm ok with slow movies and philosophical ones too but I have to agree with the other comments that this one was just boring. The very few scenes of the overgrown city were super beautiful but didn't show enough, guess budget wasn't there for it so most thing were just hidden in mist/clouds :(
Terrible, terrible senseless movie and totally waste of time :(
Good premise for a story
Though you could tell from the slow pace it was a Netflix movie on a very limited budget.
That pace continued throughout. Thankfully I needed something to put me to sleep that night
They'd have been better to speed ramp the video in-between talking and condense it to a 15 minute short movie
guys. please help me retrieve the one and hour life I lost to this movie. lol
I have one huge regret related to watching this movie, and that's that I didn't turn it off 30 minutes in when I was already bored to death. It's not the worst movie I've ever seen. It's just extremely boring. At the end of it, my biggest takeaway was that I wanted two hours of my life back. This feels like a short story concept that someone tried (and failed) to adapt into a feature length movie.
First of very predictable. Not much really happening, and when it finally became interesting, the movie ended.
Netflix, why did you recommend this snoozefest to me?
trash trash gargling garbage €¥€[]{} trash
After watching this movie I realized I was a masochistic person because I can't stop watching bad movies once I've started to play them, for the sake of finishing them. A message here to Netflix, please, please, please - stop throwing your money at every scriptwriter/director that comes to you with a movie idea. You might get a few hits (Birdbox) but all other original movies of yours (Cargo, Mute, Close and now this - the ones I've seen ) are crap.
Well-meaning if unoriginal tale of the future of our planet. Sadly, it's boring too, so any ecological message will be missed because of the endless talk and philosophical musings that take place throughout the film. Provided you aren't looking for a blockbuster piece of sci-fi, the film's style might be okay for you, but even taken as a think piece, this still underwhelms.
Such a boring movie. Skip it and thank me later.
Very slow and very predictable! Total absence of suspence....
Es demasiado lenta y el final muy previsible.

Did I just waste 1h30 of my life to this crap?
